Hermes Roofing recently completed a full roof replacement on our home in Loxahatchee, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I ran a competitive bidding process with five roofing contractors before selecting Hermes, and their performance from first contact through final inspection validated that choice at every step.Sales and estimating. Ledian Cruz provided the most thorough proposal of any bidder, a detailed scope with inspection photographs identifying specific issues (skylight condition, flashing/stucco integration, cricket rework, vent replacement), clear pricing on optional upgrades, and transparent warranty terms. Their GAF Certified Contractor status was verifiable, license documentation was current, and they carry $2 million in liability coverage. There were no vague line items or high-pressure sales tactics.Project management. Eduardo Morales was introduced as our project manager by email and then with a personal had shake before work began. A professional touch I appreciated. Communication throughout the project was proactive: permit approval notification, materials arrival, crew scheduling, and inspection milestones were all communicated without me having to chase anyone. When the per-construction wind mitigation inspection was scheduled with a licensed third-party inspector, that was included in the contract at no additional cost, which reflects real operational maturity.Execution. The Palm Beach County permit was pulled properly, the Notice of Commencement was recorded, and all required inspections passed on the first attempt. The crew installed the GAF Timberline HDZ shingle system to code-plus standards — 8d ring shank nails at 6" spacing on both edges and in the field, over a fully-adhered peel-and-stick secondary water resistance underlayment. That's the installation specification that qualifies for the highest available wind mitigation credits in South Florida, and Hermes executed it correctly without needing to be prompted.Completion. The final walk-through was thorough. The site was left clean. Drone photographs of the completed roof were provided as standard practice, and the permit was finalized by Palm Beach County on the expected timeline.Bottom line. Hermes Roofing is a company genuinely trying to build a strong reputation in Palm Beach County, and they earned my respect. If you're re-roofing in the Loxahatchee, Wellington, or West Palm Beach area, get them in your bid stack. They will deliver you a smoothly executed project.Specifically I'd like to thank Ledian Cruz, Eduardo Morales, and Anais Gonzalez for their professionalism throughout.
