As a full-time healthcare worker who travels for work at times, I’m not always able to be local — but thanks to Actualize’s strength training transformation videos, I’ve been able to stay consistent and committed to my health no matter where I am. Before I started incorporating lifting weights and progressive overload, I was always little intimidated. However, the more I got over that mental block, I realized how important it is for women to lift weights to protect bone density and muscle mass as we get older. I also love feeling strong. I train with the strength programs three times a week and complement that with reformer Pilates and metabolic Tabata sessions. The follow-along videos have been a game changer. Even when I’m miles away from the gym, I feel supported — being able to watch proper form and technique gives me confidence that I’m moving safely and effectively. It feels like I have a coach with me wherever I go.I started this journey about two years ago at 165–170 pounds, and down over 50 lbs. But more than the physical transformation, what I value most is the mindset shift — I’m about progress, not perfection and building a sustainable, strong lifestyle. As I approach 30, I’m focused on lifting not just for aesthetics but for long-term health. Women’s bone density naturally starts to decline with age, and lifting weights is my way of staying strong, capable, and resilient for years to come.Thank you, Actualize — and thank you to the coaches — for empowering me, educating me, and helping me grow into a healthier version of myself. I’m still working on fueling my body with more protein and fiber and building more strength, especially as I get older, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
