Completely out of their control and I totally get that although once it did come in I felt they rushed to get it done. I wasn’t able to see it till after they were gone but there were several incomplete issues. After leaving a message and pictures with Sara, Mike called and came over to go over the issues. Mike was very helpful, knowledgeable and straight forward. Mike then sent Frank Gallagher over to fix the things that were not done the first time. REGRET! I wouldn't have purchased this Kohler Luxstone shower system had I known that the corners would be a strip of caulk and that the pan would look crooked. I expected much more based on the price we paid (think small car!) Even if our wall isn't perfectly square, they were the ones who installed the sheetrock behind the structure and could have used shims to make it look decent. IMPORTANT: The reviews on Minnesota Shower and Bath's website are for the installers, who ask you to give them 5 stars so they will get some sort of reward. I find that a bit shady. IMPORTANT: You should know that their timeline for installing a Kohler shower system is 25+ weeks out and you will owe them 50% down. That's a long time to hold so much money. I would have been just as happy -- and had more money in my bank -- if I had hired a handyperson to install a quality shower system from a home improvement store. One star because the shower functions and I like the Kohler showerhead and shelf. Our other bathroom has a Bathfitter system, which I like much better! Less

Frank Gallagher and Jeff Haskamp from Minnesota Shower & Bath finally came in this week and corrected all the mistakes. These two guys are GREAT fixers. Less

We went with Rusco for a window replacement and a bathroom remodel. Despite their higher costs compared to other contractors, we still chose to go with them due to the reviews. In the end we weren’t as impressed as we thought we would be. Thankfully we did not encounter any significant problems such as poor installation techniques. There were no problems with the window being installed (like poor insulation), and no problems with the bathroom shower and tub pipes they installed (like water leakage, etc). However, we did notice some damage around the house after each installation. For the window, the team they sent damaged the surrounding wall around the window, leaving several dents and marks. They also damaged our front door, and the storm door side panel while bringing the old window out and new window in. For the bathroom, the team was a lot more careful, but they did damage a tiny area of the bathroom wall and broke a marble figurine we had in the hall. In both occasions, the workers never confronted us about the damages they had done. This was quite infuriating. Eventually someone did come out to assess the window installation damage, and Rusco compensated us for it. Someone did paint over the bathroom wall damage, but didn’t fill it in. Granted the damage was much minor, it’s still frustrating. Also, the new window was filthy. Didn’t even bother to clean it. It’s about 15 feet high above the ground. Not exactly easy to clean ourselves. We also had several problems with Rusco’s communication, measurements, and documentation of what we wanted ordered. For the window, they installed new window trim. They did not provide any samples beforehand, but guaranteed we’d get a golden oak color to match the previous window trim and the rest of the wood in our house. They ended up installing trim that did not match. They claim it was golden oak, but it clearly doesn’t look like it. It’s more of a grayish tinted oak. They then came out again and offered to order new trim, and this time brought samples. We selected a much better color. Sadly, three months later, we have received no update on the replacement trim. They stopped communicating regarding this issue. For the bathroom, everything was ordered correctly, except for the edge guards that go along the side of the shower tile. They measured the area incorrectly. Thankfully someone did come out to remeasure. But it took almost 3 months to finally have the edge guards installed. They left us a voicemail to call back and schedule a time to finish the installation. We made 8 attempts in trying to get a hold of them. Several calls ended with no one answering, a few calls did end up with someone answering, but then only to tell us that someone would reach out to us later in the day to schedule an appointment. Besides the initial call in early July, we went all of July without a single call from Rusco. The only reason we finally got our edge guards installed, is because I called in (thankfully someone answered) and said I want to file a complaint. Within that same call, we finally got an appointment made. Overall, we would not recommend Minnesota Rusco. The main reason being because of poor communication, organization, resulting in a few incorrect parts being ordered and resulting in both projects full completion being delayed. We appreciate that there were no major installation problems, and that they assessed some of the damage their teams caused and compensated us for it. However, both installations had problems that could have been avoided if they had better planned and communicated with us. Also, not everything was taken care of. We submitted a picture of the figurine that the bathroom team broke, and nothing has happened. There’s still a damaged spot on the bathroom wall. Someone did paint over this spot when installing the edge guards, but they didn’t use any type of wall filler to fill in the dents from the damage. It’s such a minor issue, but none the less still an issue. And ultimately, we still have received no word about the window trim replacement they ordered. Less

I am writing this review specifically about the warranty they provide on materials. Here is our bathroom sink counter that was installed over two years ago. At that time we “accepted” it but didn’t speak up about the rough surface. This year another remodeler came in to do our full bath of main bedroom and she said they should never have installed it that way. We are past warranty and they will not pay to have this fixed. Deeply saddened that they have not returned a call so I can contact the manufacturer. According to them, it’s the manufacturer’s warranty. I’m sick of passing the buck! The problem should be fixed by them since it never should have been installed in the first place if they were doing proper quality control. Less

The installer, Kenzie Brooks (Custom Concepts), did a great job! He was very meticulous about his work. He made sure that everything was done well and that we were satisfied. Some parts for our shower door and faucet were missing and he did everything he could to get the parts and return to finish our bathroom job as soon as possible. He was also great about communicating with us with regard to when he could come to work on our project. He would always respond to my texts or questions quite promptly - even on weekends! Just one warning...which has NOTHING to do with the installer. After making a cash down payment (for half of the total cost), we waited 6 months to get our little bathroom project completed. At first, we were getting regular updates from MN Shower & Bath, but after a while we stopped hearing from them. It felt like we'd been forgotten. I finally called them and found out that our materials had arrived, supposedly been inspected (although parts were missing), and they could schedule our installation. But, again, Kenzie Brooks did a fantastic job! Less

Mn Rusco wrapped up our small 32k bathroom remodel on 4/8 so they say. The job is not completed, yet they call for the full payment. Their contractor they had working on the job did nothing but complain about how bad of a company Mn Rusco was. The wrong product was ordered and the person that came to measure didn’t come at scheduled time and was in a hurry because it was a Saturday. Now we have to wait until mid May for trim I suspect you can get at Home Depot. If you want to go with this type of company I highly suggest ReBath they got it together. Less

It was a long wait from when we put half down on our bathroom remodel but finally we got the call our supplies were all in and we could proceed. D & E Interiors came on a MOnday and they finished by Thursday. They kept a neat work space and were very respectful that we work from home and were super quiet. Also they always let us know if they had to leave for supplies or lunch. They kept us very informed. I cannot say anything bad about the experience. My only negative response is that we were promised an October 2022 install and it didn't happen until February 2023. On the positive side- Rusco Called us every 2 weeks to tell us our products were still on backorder. But at the end of the day- it was well worth the wait. Don't even waste your time with these crooks. I had a sales lady come to my house to give an estimate for a walk in shower/bath due to me having cancer and not being able to get into my tub. She was a nice lady and was here for about 45 minutes getting the estimate ready. All I wanted was an estimate for the tub and nothing else. The estimate was over $35k for just the walk in shower/bath. I'm a plumber and I know I could do 2 bathroom remodels for the price of that tub. These guys are a rip off and will never refer to anyone! Less

It seems you cannot rely on the appointment time in this company. After changing the date and time and verifying it with the customer service rep we had a no show for our first appointment with them. It is a big disappointment as we rescheduled our day to make it fit. My excitement level for a start of a remodel for 2 bathrooms has fallen flat. MY COMMENT TO THE COMPANY RESPONSE BELOW: The Appointment was scheduled by my husband at an earlier date. I called to reschedule due to an overlap in our schedule. I verified the change with the rep twice for the 13th of October. He also scheduled for Rusco and MN Shower & Bath reps to be there together on that night. There was no miscommunication, the person who changed the appointment messed up! Less

We made arrangements to have our shower redone last January 2022. We were told that the job would be completed in May or June. The contractors didn’t arrive until September. When they did arrive the shower door was the wrong size and they had no trim to complete the job. When I signed off on the job I marked it as incomplete. The following Monday we got a call from MN S&B that they wanted final payment. They stated the job was done and less than $1000 was needed to complete the job. The door alone was $3000. There is no trim around the top to seal the shower walls and the shower is unusable. I had to contact them after the fact to put the correct door on order. I was told that I would be contacted on when the work would be complete within a day or two. They did not contact me. I just called them and was told that the door will be arriving late October or early November. The customer representative was extremely short and unapologetic. I can only hope that this small job can be completed this year. I understand that there are supply issues but would expect some sort of respect as a customer. Especially, due to the high cost of their service. I would not recommend them. I am very frustrated and disappointed. Less

We signed up for walk in shower install in June, 2022. I know that stock delays and shortages are real. What I can’t understand is Rusco still advertising so much for more customers when they can’t take care of the ones they have already signed on. The company has been good to keep informing us of delays, but I’d rather get a call saying “hey! Your products have come in and someone will be there tomorrow to install it all!” In my dreams, but hey! I just hope that when the work finally gets done, that it’s worth the wait! It’s a lot of money and I hope we’re extremely satisfied! Less

We signed the initial contract for our master bathroom remodel in August 2021. We were told that the work would start at the end of November. Started receiving calls in October that our project would be delayed. Finally get scheduled for the installation in late February. Shower and tub went in but no shower glass. Was told 6-8 weeks to have the glass installed when originally the estimate was 2-3 days after the shower base and walls were installed. We were never told prior to that timelines had changed. So, we had no usable master bathroom shower during that time. We also asked that the tub that was originally ordered be changed because it is a stock tub that would not be used in a master bathroom. We removed a corner jacuzzi tub and the replacement that was ordered was similar to a tub surround you would find in a kids bathroom. Glass finally was installed but only after we followed up with MN shower and bath. New tub was finally specked and ordered after 2+ months of chasing and following up. Company called us for installation which was another 3 weeks out. Installers finally come last week and just as quickly as they brought the tub up it came back down because it was the wrong tub. Installers say company will call us with solutions. Followed up with our management contact 2x with no response. Called customer service on 7/27 and Adam said he would research and get back to me. No response yet. This project is almost 1 year from contract signature and now my master bathroom has been torn up for 6 months. The lack of urgency is baffling to me. This may be a great company if you have a cookie cutter remodel but do not use them if you are looking for something more Less

Dave Loehrer and his grew were great to deal with and did a good job. Disappointing was the best I can say about most of the rest of this transaction. Felt pressured to make a decision during initial consultation. We were told install early to mid March but finally scheduled for June 2nd. No installer on that day and no one notified me I had to notify them. Took an hour to have someone contact me then after two conversations could not get someone here until June 6th. Wrong shower doors ordered even though they verified correct ones in March. One shower panel was scratched and a refinished needs to be sent out. Terrible communication and service throughout until Dave and team today. Less

A couple days before the estimate, a representative contacted me to ask about the scope of the project. Explained there would likely be some drywall repair and flooring repair necessary with the replacement of the shower. had someone come out for a very small shower. estimate was 19 000 dollars. said they had to replace plumbing also. first of all nothing wrong with our plumbing. my husband is definitely a consumer report guy he prices everything and does extensive research on things. wd are having it done for a bit under 6000.00 this company is very pushy and way way way overpriced Less

Absolute waste of time. I scheduled a quote request, specifically indicating it was for my rental property. Upon arrival, the sales person informed me they would not give me a quote because they do not do rental properties. Wasted valuable time driving to the property and waiting. Company needs to be more transparent and use better communication and professionalism. Less

We are very pleased with the work performed by Scott Brown. He was very professional and clean while remodeling our bathroom shower. He was careful in protecting our wood floors and cleaned up after the job was done. Less

Had a bathtub removed and replaced with a walk in shower and new toilet installed. The first 2 man crew had the shower drain set way to high. The next day a different crew showed up and fixed it. Day 3 and 4 John Kern came and pretty much finished the project. He couldn’t do the caulking around the surround because the caulking had froze and wasn’t any good. It was -25 degrees out, who leaves caulking in the trailer? The shower head leaks. I was expecting workers to show up on this project at 8 and put in a days work. Day 1-10:30 cleaned up at 1:30. Day 2-10:00-4:00. Day 3-11:40-4:30. Day 4-9:45-7:00. We were told by the salesman 1 maybe 2 days. I’m now looking at 5 days to get everything done. This project started 5 months after signing contract and $17,000 later after discounts! I would strongly recommend John Kern. He knew what he was doing! Wouldn’t recommend Rusco. My email to our salesman about my issues was forwarded to Casey (head guy) and instead of him calling me he passed it on to a lady in the office to deal with me. Less

After a delay due to the pandemic supply chain issues, we were able to get our installation this week. Because our shower was moving, instead of being replaced in the same location, it took 3 days to get the work done. We had expected that they would send qualified installers, but they sent craftsmen. Jason and Skylar definitely cared about their work and made sure it was high quality. Installing in an older home can have challenges such as walls out of plumb and uneven floors. These two took each one in stride and made sure that their work was properly done. Less

The installation team was excellent. They did quick, professional work, and communicated with us at every point. I would highly recommend them for any project. The project they did was the installation of a new shower stall and a repair panel on the tub. They gave us clear instructions on how long to wait before using the new shower. Unfortunately, the company sent the wrong shower door, so they could not complete their work. They explained how the process would work to get it installed once it was re-ordered. Purchased a luxstone shower. Installed on time by an excellent and helpful crew. Everything went well. They finished on time. They explained and answered all our questions. Amazing that this can be done in one day. Only issue was we ordered a white shower base which was listed on their paperwork as gray. 5 star experience! Less

Tom and Travis were outstanding! My house is rather unique, as it is the original model townhome in the society. There were many things that were in odd locations, and they completely identified them and resolved the issues so that the project could continue. I am going to definitely look to use Minnesota Rusco's and their services in the future for other projects. I can honestly say that I have never in my adult life lived in a house with a nice shower. He carefully removed a separate tub and shower that had a common wall with plumbing in between.Then built a wall and installed Koehler LuxStone walls and shower fixtures. Throughout the whole process he kept me advised of what he was doing, how he was going to do it and cleaned up every day when he finished. He was thoughtful, courteous and respectful of my wishes. He gave me some advise on his ideas for finishing the remodel after his part was completed. I would highly recommend Scott as a subcontractor for a remodel job. Less

I give a five star service to Dave and his team but not the people who were supposed to make sure the right equipment was there for installation. One thing I did not appreciate was they had the shower base incorrect the first day that they came over. This was no fault of Dave’s. I had to wait over a week for them to get the right base Leaving me no shower in my bathroom Since it had been taken out on the first visit. I am still waiting for somebody to call me about that.
