This salon is heaven sent. It is very convienient to most in the arboretum area, located at 183 and Oak Knoll. The price is almost unbeatable compared to other salons in Austin. Started going here due to a Groupon I got. They did a good job with the service which is why I am giving one star but everything else was very bad. First they did not know how to redeem the Groupon. I got my eyebrows trimmed along with a haircut today. Mona did an awesome job. I liked her professionalism.

I had the Indian lady butcher my hair, it literally looked like a child took scissors to my head. It was so bad I asked her to stop halfway, she didn’t charge me, and kept saying I could come back another day for someone to fix. Mona (the owner) did “fix it” on another day. It’s pretty bad when Mona and another hair stylist literally gasped in disbelief when they saw my hair. I am now stuck with ... More

The first time I went in I had hair several inches past my shoulders and requested a style that required a majority of my hair to be taken down to a number 2 guard, and the rest to be cut to only a few inches long. Before I made such a huge hair decision Mona asked me several times over hair washing and deep conditioning if I was positive on chopping it all off. I was and I LOVE the result. I return monthly to maintain it, and she always takes the same care as she did with the initial cut. I have even return once several days later to have a bit more taken off as I wasn’t quite happy with the length, and there was no issue with her fixing that. I would recommend Mona to absolutely anyone; I’m lucky enough to live less than five minutes away, but if I lived in south Austin I’d make the trek up here monthly. Less
