I’m a 25 year old runner training for my first marathon, and after seeing a bunch of my friends get injured during long distance running (half to ultras) training, I really wanted to be proactive and do this the right way. I’d already started noticing some issues with my hips, ankles, and knees when running half marathon distances, so I figured it was time to get everything checked out before ramping up my mileage. That’s how I ended up at Athletic Edge Physical Therapy, and honestly, it’s been such a great decision. I’ve been seeing Dr. Natasha Hastings, and she pretty much knew what was going on right away… and there’s definitely a lot of work to do.What I really appreciate is how personalized everything is. Every session feels intentional and actually worth it. Even within the hour, she never feels rushed to get through everything. She takes her time to make sure I have what I need to be successful and that I leave with all my questions and concerns answered. She tailors everything to my training and what my body needs, and she’s always giving helpful feedback so I know what to focus on. She even checks in outside of sessions, which makes a huge difference and shows how much she truly cares. You can tell she puts a ton of effort and heart into what she does. It never feels like you’re just another patient. She’s genuinely invested in helping you improve and stay injury-free. Whether you’re dealing with injuries or not, if you’re training for something exciting, I can’t recommend getting assessed enough. It’s such a smart way to stay ahead of potential issues and focus on injury prevention. Because of that, I truly can’t recommend Athletic Edge Physical Therapy enough, especially if you’re a runner trying to train smart.
