This soap is the best! Bar soap usually leaves my skin feeling sticky but The Professional Choice Smart Soap leaves my skin feeling silky soft and clean! The scent is amazing, not too strong and stays all day long even after a workout. The best part is the soap is mild enough for my sensitive skin and it doesn't contain any harsh or toxic ingredients! As a jiu jitsu athlete and coach, and with a household of jiu jitsu practitioners, I'm really picky about our soap. Getting clean before training and scrubbing up after means we go through a lot. And with the close contact BJJ requires, we need a soap that does work to eliminate microbes but is gentle on our already beat up skin. So when I was asked to try out The Professors Choice Smart Soap for review, the order was tall. But I've been using this soap for 6 months now with great results. Short review; buy it. Full review below:Packaging: The packaging is sleek. Just opening the box makes you feel like you're in for something special. Best soap packaging I've seen for a any soap yet, and not just a jiu jitsu soap. The bars inside are individually wrapped so each new bar is as fresh as the last. None of the bars have been broken or chipped.Design/Scent: We tried the charcoal bars. The soap appearance is straightforward. Blocks are a hefty size and black from the charcoal. As with all charcoal products expect to see some black/gray residue wherever you set the soap when it's wet. It easily washes off and does not stain. It's also an excellent skin cleanser, gentle exfoliator and is one of the components that elevates this bar above the rest. Scent reminds me of the Michigan Renfest (if you know, you know) which we love. If you don't know, the essential oils used are eucalyptus, cinnamon, clove, lemon and rosemary so you can make a good guess.Lather: This soap lathers so rich it's ruined other soaps for me. A couple brushes across a loofah and some massaging and you'd swear it was shaving cream. In fact, I use it as shaving cream. And the rich lather not only feels wonderful to use, but contributes to the soaps longevity. I could easily use one loofah lather to clean my whole family (4 of us). Each bar gets us anywhere from 1-2 months depending how much I use to get extra sudsy just because I'm feeling luxurious (at least that's how the soap makes me feel). My daughter loves to play in it. My husband, who generally cares little about soap as long as we have some, has even mentioned it. Wins all around.Performance: In the 6 months using this soap none of us has contracted any skin disease associated with wrestling/BJJ. Now, we RARELY have those issues. I caught impetigo once as a white belt cause I was a heathen, but who wasn't at white belt? So that's to say the soap works as well as any other soap we've used before. The big difference here is that our skin doesn't feel that dry tightness I've associated with other soaps after use. Likely due to the essential oil blends used for their antimicrobial/antibacterial properties (and the goat milk!), this soap gets us clean without wreaking havoc on our skin. In fact, I went a good while without using any moisturizer or lotion after showering at all. The only reason I use lotion now is for the anti-aging cause I'm going to be 30 this year, sigh, and jiu jitsu ages you but also somehow keeps you young? The soap performs though. No germs but no dryness either. I was truly impressed.To summarize, The Professor's Choice Smart Soap met its claims and exceeded my expectations. This is the bar soap we now keep on hand and it's absolutely the soap you should try. Even if only for that lather alone. I'd wear around a gi made of that lather. But really if you're looking for a soap that gets you clean, has a great scent, lasts a long time, keeps your skin soft and hydrated, and just makes you feel like a million bucks from the moment open the package, Professor's Choice is THE soap. This is the best soap and wipes I have ever used. I highly recommend all of these products to everyone. Use this product before or after any exercise. I use it before Jiu-Jitsu class si my team members and coaches are happy to be around me. This is the best defense against any offensive odors and smells. Please choose professors choice. Bought a couple of soap bars for my family to try. We all love the smell and how it doesn’t dry out our skin! You get a nice looking, big sized bar that lathers really well and does not leave any excess soap residue in our shower stalls/tubs. 10/10 would buy again. It’s a Solid product👍🏽. Less
