We live in a townhouse development, which means space is tight, especially when you have a 4-story, 30-year-old overgrown Bradford Pear tree that really needs trimming. But Green Vista made it work, and got their bucket truck and wood-chipper truck out front with just about as little disruption to our street as possible. They had a crew of six guys working for about two hours, crowned the tree nicely and cleaned up absolutely everything. They also trimmed some deadwood off our maple in the back at the same time...a smaller job, but definitely needed. Both spaces were absolutely clean when they left. We had a small job - trimming back some branches from a mature oak overhanging our two story roof, removing a smaller tree and grinding the stump, and thinning and shaping a 50 ft maple. We had Green Vista come evaluate a dying tree. Based on their advice, we ended up taking out the tree and getting the stump ground. They promptly scheduled and executed the tree removal with a very fancy piece of equipment. There was no damage to my yard and they left the job site very clean. The initial consultation from Daniel Foster of Green Vista Tree Care was thorough and insightful and prepared us for every aspect of the tree removal and stump grinding process that we needed to have done. By the way, Daniel and Green Vista consulted with us several years ago regarding the same tree and at that time suggested only strategic pruning as this tree had a few years left. But now the tree had to be taken down. So, just today the team arrived on time and got right to work. They used a sophisticated crane system that was remote controlled that removed high branches without a worker having to climb the tree. This crane system was not only safe but also could quickly cut tree branches and lower them down slowly and without touching power lines at all. After the tree was removed the stump grinder was lifted up by the same crane system so that it could be lifted over our high fencing. The stump removal was thorough and left us with plenty of mulch which we can use throughout our front and back yards. Lastly, the clean up by Green Vista was detailed and resulted in a clean pipe stem (alley) that belongs to our neighbors and also left our yard cleaner than it was before the team arrived. The larger wood from the tree was delicately and strategically lifted and and moved to a separate truck designed to transport that larger wood to be disposed of properly. Green Vista quote is a bit lower but Nicco explained a lot of things that I didn't know. They will not remove the stump grindings and that would be on me, which is pretty much the same practice at JTL. Green Vista will only give you 1 day in advance notice. The crew showed up on time. The yard was cleaned up 99%. Green Vista also contacted Mis. Utility and came back a few days later after all the markings were done. Their planning and coordination with the condo board prior to arriving at the worksite enables us to notify residents (before work starts) where not to park/walk on the day of the tree maintenance. We were delighted to work with Green Vista. We had two trees that needed two crane setups. One was a very large dead tree that needed to be removed that was on our property line and surrounded by other live trees and the other was a cleaner removal elsewhere on our property. Their crane and crew were able to cleanly extract the trees from the surrounding trees with basically no damage to the surrounding trees/property and left the work site extremely clean. The work site was challenging with septic fields, neighbor house, and driveway slope but the team found a great setup location to get the work done. We had a minor hiccup that will require an investigation on our septic pipe as the truck went off the driveway but Wylie was responsive and we are reviewing any potential fallout from that. We had gotten quotes from other companies ranging from climbing to cranes but Green Vista's equipment did not even drop a single branch. I highly recommend Green Vista. Less
