I joined the 3-day GovCon Exceller Academy challenge because I’ve been interested in learning how to get started with government contracting. I kept hearing about the opportunities available for small businesses but did not know how to set my business up from the beginning.What I loved most was how detailed Emaniece explained everything. She explained the process in a way that was easy to understand and didn’t overwhelm me. I learned what’s required to get into government contracting—beyond just getting a SAM.gov registration. She covered everything from identifying opportunities to understanding capability statements and being ready.I had an aha moment when Emaniece stated that you don’t have to wait until everything is “perfect” before starting. I had been reluctant to start because I didn’t know what to expect. After taking the challenge, I feel prepared and ready to present my business to government agencies for contracts.This challenge will prepare you and provide the clarity you need.
