BLUF: Better than expected, highly recommend Preferred Barrels!I ordered a Howa 1500 - Variable Shoulder - M26x1.5 (Weatherby Vanguard). Options selected were: 26" Full Bull, Stainless Steel Bead Blasted Matte, 300 Win Mag α (SAAMI), 5R Twist 1-10, 3/4"x24 - UNEF 2A muzzle threads, and Lapped.Standard shipping time is 10-12 weeks or longer, but it arrived on my doorstep in 7 weeks and 1 day.Preferred barrels provided excellent customer service from the initial ordering, to responding to status requests, to delivery.Barrel installation with PTG GO/NO-GO gauges and torque wrench was extremely easy.Barrel break-in period was significantly quicker than expected, likely based on a combination of the lack of burrs within the bore, especially near where tooling pilots seat, and the lapping performed by Preferred Barrels. I considered the barrel to be broken in after 12 shots with a 220gr OTM at 2830fps. Attached below is a photo of a <1/2 MOA group from the first twenty rounds and before load development.I am extremely satisfied with the price, performance, and rapid delivery of this barrel, especially when compared to most other barrel manufacturers.

I ordered a pre fit tikka barrel in 22 creedmoor. From the begining Mason helped me through the process. When the barrel arrived ot was a work of art. The fluting was perfect and the finish was superb. After break in the first group I shot was half moa. I would highly recommend Preferred Barrel Blanks as a go to for all your firearm needs.

Preferred Barrel Blanks is an outstanding business to deal with. I had been thinking of re-barreling my HOWA 1500 for several months and called several barrel manufacturers all over the country for info and availability. One Eastern (NY) manufacturer that has been touted as producing the "most accurate barrels" never responded to three of my calls so I crossed them off the list. Other manufacturers took a few days to respond and quoted me dates up to a full year out. At 71 yrs old, I don't want to wait a year. Other manufacturers were slow to return calls and/or were going to take up to 6 months. The communication with them was a one time call that didn't inspire confidence. Preferred Barrel Blanks was the best with communications, education and patience. They actually answered the phone and/or called me back in less than 24 hours. I must have called them a half dozen times with questions and every time was treated with respect and technical knowledge that impressed. There was also never any pressure to buy from them. I finally pulled the plug, sent in my barreled action and ordered from PBB with full knowledge that it could take up to 16 weeks. I just found out today that my order had been completed and I should be getting it back in two days. Total time from order placement: 9 weeks...a very pleasant surprise. I haven't received my barreled action back yet and I'm not worried at all. PBB has the best communications combined with technical support in the business. They are professional, instill confidence and have excellent reviews on the internet. Shop with confidence with PBB.

Just got the barrel. Cleaned it, sighted it in, then put up a 5 shot 3/8" group at 100 yds. Cleaned it, shot a fouler and backed it up with another 3/8" group. This isy first experience with a preferred barrel and I regret waiting.

Ordered a 27” .338 barrel for a savage 110. Took about 3 months from ordering to doorstep. Barrel came well packaged and exactly as requested. Put 5 rounds through it to sight it in. Then shot 2 3 round groups that were .87MOA and .68MOA with factory ammo. Very pleased with its performance.
