Preferred Barrel Blanks is an outstanding business to deal with. I had been thinking of re-barreling my HOWA 1500 for several months and called several barrel manufacturers all over the country for info and availability. One Eastern (NY) manufacturer that has been touted as producing the "most accurate barrels" never responded to three of my calls so I crossed them off the list. Other manufacturers took a few days to respond and quoted me dates up to a full year out. At 71 yrs old, I don't want to wait a year. Other manufacturers were slow to return calls and/or were going to take up to 6 months. The communication with them was a one time call that didn't inspire confidence. Preferred Barrel Blanks was the best with communications, education and patience. They actually answered the phone and/or called me back in less than 24 hours. I must have called them a half dozen times with questions and every time was treated with respect and technical knowledge that impressed. There was also never any pressure to buy from them. I finally pulled the plug, sent in my barreled action and ordered from PBB with full knowledge that it could take up to 16 weeks. I just found out today that my order had been completed and I should be getting it back in two days. Total time from order placement: 9 weeks...a very pleasant surprise. I haven't received my barreled action back yet and I'm not worried at all. PBB has the best communications combined with technical support in the business. Just got the barrel. Cleaned it, sighted it in, then put up a 5 shot 3/8" group at 100 yds. Cleaned it, shot a fouler and backed it up with another 3/8" group. This isy first experience with a preferred barrel and I regret waiting.

Ordered a 27” .338 barrel for a savage 110. Took about 3 months from ordering to doorstep. Barrel came well packaged and exactly as requested. Put 5 rounds through it to sight it in. Then shot 2 3 round groups that were .87MOA and .68MOA with factory ammo. Very pleased with its performance.

Awesome company to deal with - someone actually answers the phone and responds when you call or email! I purchased a pre-fit barrel for my Kelbly action and it headspaced perfectly. I also just picked up a 75 degree bolt for my action as they were the only one offering a stripped bolt version. Highly recommend them!!

Ordered a prefit for a tikka t3x everything bolted up perfect and by far the easiest barrel break in I’ve had didn’t have any copper fouling at all .Not to mention I got my barrel 3 weeks ahead of schedule. First 3 shot group closest to the middle there and I haven’t even started load development.

While I don't write testimonials often, I was overly impressed with the PBB carbon pre-fit barrel (300 WSM) I ordered for my Tikka T3. The finish was stellar, and when I installed it, it gauged out (go/no go) perfectly. It just couldn't be more awesome. Can't wait to get it to the range and break it in, and get load workups done. :-)
