I had a very frustrating experience with Warner Roofing, mainly due to lack of accountability, poor oversight, and inconsistent quality.Rob was quick to respond to texts, but he avoided taking ownership. When I asked questions about the roof, he often said “I’m not sure” or “I don’t know” and directed me to Jose (the subcontractor). As a customer, I hired Warner Roofing—not the subcontractor—so I shouldn’t have to act as the middleman. Rob should be handling communication and coordinating with his team. The day of installation was very concerning. Neither Rob nor Jose was there at the start. The crew showed up and immediately began working—throwing materials off the roof without proper tarping or protection, and without a dumpster on site. This put my property at risk (gutters, siding, driveway, deck, landscaping), and my deck ended up scratched. The tarping was mediocre at best.Cleanup after the job was only decent. There were still screws left all over my landscape, which I had to clean up myself the next day.Throughout the project, there was little supervision. Both Rob and Jose were often not on site, leaving the crew unsupervised. I understand people need to step away, but someone should be there to monitor progress. I had to stay outside most of the day watching the work because I was concerned about my home. When I raised concerns, the crew would adjust briefly, then go back to cutting corners.Things got worse when a separate crew installing tubular skylights stepped through my attic and broke my dining room ceiling. I have a log home with wood panel ceilings, and the damage was significant. This raised concerns about the crew’s training. Afterward, they suggested cheaper partial fixes that wouldn’t match the existing 20-year-old wood. I had to push to get agreement that the entire ceiling should be replaced for a proper result. This is still ongoing. I’ve been living with an exposed ceiling for about two weeks, with cold air coming in from the attic, and no clear timeline for repair.I also asked to speak directly with Scott, the owner, but it seems everything has to go through Rob. I don’t understand why an owner wouldn’t speak directly to a customer when serious issues come up.I was sold on a 25-year workmanship warranty, but after this experience, it’s hard to feel confident in that. There are still ongoing issues with materials. For example, the drip flashing they installed is now buckling and needs to be removed and redone. At times, it feels like my home is being used as a testing ground—installing, removing, and redoing materials instead of getting it right the first time.To be fair, Rob is easy to reach and responds quickly. However, getting real resolution has been difficult. I understand no job is perfect, but this felt rushed, poorly managed, and repeatedly reworked in ways that created more problems instead of fixing them.As a disabled veteran who has worked with many companies, this has been one of the most difficult experiences I’ve had. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but when you pay a lot for a roof, you expect much better. I’ve had other contractors do better work for far less cost, with proper supervision from the owner. This project is still ongoing, and I will update this review if things improve and are resolved properly. Stay tuned!
