We saw Dr. Frendo as a second opinion for my husband's back problem. Before that we had been working with South Island Orthopedics for nearly 2 months and his condition only worsened to the point the pain travelled to his leg and he was not able to walk. SIO did not do anything and advised him to continue PT. First time we met Dr. Frendo, he reviewed the MRIs and explained what was going on, in a very professional and friendly manner. He also left us time for questions. He told us the severity and advised surgery right away. The surgery was done within a week and my husband is able to walk again! One more note to add is that on the date of surgery, it was delayed by 2 hours and he called me to let me know not to worry and advised me of the delay, instead of keeping me in the dark.
