It was exactly as advertised! Easy check in, well appointed, clean, convenient and well decorated. Jeanette was so sweet and we promise we will be back. The hot tub was a giant bonus after days of mountain biking and kayaking! If you are coming to Bryson city, I highly recommend staying here.

Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Saw 2 shooting stars from the hot tub on our first night. Minutes away from downtown Bryson, deep creek, and a short trip to NOC. We had a great time. Perfect for our family.

The response time from the owner and or management was a fantastic. The house was perfect For three couples, everything we needed was there and it was very, very clean. The location was central enough for what we planned to do. The only thing I would caution is access to the house is a long windy, road, some of it gravel. This actually caused us to tailor our days a little differently as none of us wanted to be driving up that road after dark. Other than that, it was great and we would certainly book this house again.

Elk Hollow Resort was a great experience. It was so fun staying in the Aztec tent. It was super clean, well equipped, and cozy. We would definitely recommend. The driveway gets steep so beware.

If you are looking for a relaxing location but just minutes from the action then this is the perfect place. We stayed at Swallowtail safari tent for 4 nights in late June and we really enjoyed staying there. The large spacious deck was where we hung out most of the time. We enjoyed meals and quiet evenings and also enjoyed the hot tub. We appreciated the beautiful wooded setting with just the sound of nature.The space is also nicely appointed. The kitchen is the best stocked compared to all of our other vacation rentals. It had all the pots, pans, storage, spices, etc. for us to cook. We cooked dinner in 3 out of 4 nights because this was better than any restaurant.The beds were also very comfortable with nice linens, mattress and pillow. The showers were also magnificent.The location was also excellent just minutes from downtown Bryson City and literally the deep creek area of Smokey Mountain NP is at the end of the driveway. If you are looking to relax and unwind in a beautiful setting with wonderful lodging, then Elk Hollow is the place.

Everything about this location was amazing. We did not arrive until like 9 o'clock at night. The drive in was a little worrisome at first. They are literally up a mountain. However, as we begin to see the lights and yurts I was blown away. They are beautiful! Even though some of the years are close to each other they are placed in a position to where you feel alone. The hot tub and fire pit are excellent amenities! The inside was clean and very cozy! We plan on returning!

The area was so beautiful and peaceful! The room/tent we had the Safari. The town and room we stayed in was very charming and homey. By far one of the best places to go if you want solitude and peace of mind. The scenery and the people around town were so kind and welcoming.

It's rare in this day & age for a location not only to meet expectations, but to exceed them. We recently booked the "Lost Creek" Safari tent at Elk Hollow for our first child-free adventure in 7 years. It was everything we hoped for & more. Walking in, the unit was incredibly clean & just like it was pictured online. The location is peaceful, and you can only see one other tent through the foliage. Nighttimes were starry & the lightning bugs put on a great show. The array of bird songs in the morning was amazing. We found this a great "home base" for adventures in Bryson City, Blue Ridge Parkway, & Great Smoky Mountains NP... But we kept finding ourselves wanting to head back to "the tent" to relax. The kitchen was well -stocked & comfortable to cook in. The grill was the cleanest one we've ever had in a rental.There were 2 dogs that would come visit us on the porch at nighttime during their rounds that were incredibly sweet & friendly.AWD vehicle is not required, but we found one really handy to have both on-property for the gravel drive in & on our adventures in the area.Overall we loved our stay at Elk Hollow & hope to return again some time in the future!
