We stayed at Lookout Lodge in Arlarka Heights! The lodge was fantastic! The downstairs is a fabulous space for kids with 4 game tables, other board games, a tv, a small refrigerator and a sitting area for playing games and watching tv! The hot tub was great and very enjoyable after a day of Bryson City, Sylva and Dillsboro shopping and hiking to several Deep Creek waterfalls. Before visiting, be sure and realize that the drive up to the lodge is about 30 minutes from the local grocery store and downtown area so plan accordingly for food. There is little cell service going up the mountain to the Lodge but once you arrive, cell service will resume. We enjoyed eating in at night so we could enjoy the view, porch rocking chairs and the lodge itself. Jeanetta was a fabulous host and communicated with us very effectively and answered all our questions. We had an internet outage and she engaged with us and the local service quickly to ensure the issue was addressed and corrected. We would definitely recommend Lookout Lodge!

Power outage had a minor impact- but that was weather related! Beautiful yurt, fun experience for my son and his gf! Highly recommend if in ones budget.

Elk Hollow was an amazing place to stay. Location was awesome. Check in was seamless. The tent was perfect. The pictures definitely don’t capture how great it is on the inside. Check out was easy. My wife and I had an amazing experience at Elk Hollow Resort in Bryson City! It was the perfect getaway to disconnect from everyday life, enjoy the mountains, and spend some quality time together.The property was beautiful, peaceful, and gave us exactly the relaxing mountain experience we were looking for. I also added the romantic package with the rose petals and wine, which made the experience even better and gave me the perfect way to surprise my wife when we arrived.Bryson City and the surrounding Smoky Mountains made the trip even more memorable. Between the scenery, things to do in the area, and just being able to slow down and enjoy each other, we really enjoyed ourselves.We would absolutely recommend Elk Hollow Resort to couples looking for a peaceful, romantic, and unique mountain getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow, just wow! What an amazing location and stay! Everything about the experience with Jeannetta and Elk Hollow Resort was incredible fron beginning to end. We stayed in Lost Creek for the first four nights but had to move the last three nights of our stay to Aztec. Both accommodations were equally beautiful and well equipped. The moment we walked in, I turned to my boyfriend and said, I don’t want to leave. And during the entire trip we only left twice, to get supplies and visit Deep Creek. Having just hiked Mt. LeConte, this was the perfect place to relax and recover. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was exactly as advertised! Easy check in, well appointed, clean, convenient and well decorated. Jeanette was so sweet and we promise we will be back. The hot tub was a giant bonus after days of mountain biking and kayaking! If you are coming to Bryson city, I highly recommend staying here.
