What an absolute hidden gem!We had an 8pm booking but, thanks to our previous dinner at ARIA running much longer than expected, we didn't arrive until around 9:15pm. We honestly weren't sure whether we'd still be able to get in, so we were incredibly grateful that the team were so welcoming and were still able to seat us at the bar.And what a fabulous hour we had!We love a good cocktail bar and spend quite a lot of time in Sydney trying different bars and restaurants, so we genuinely couldn't believe it when we discovered these guys have been here for more than four years. How have we never heard of this place?!We only recently discovered it through an ad on social media, and we're so glad we did.We had three cocktails during our time there and absolutely loved sitting at the bar, watching them being made and chatting with the team. The atmosphere and vibe were fantastic — relaxed, friendly and just a really enjoyable place to sit and take everything in.A special mention has to go to Estella, who was fabulous. Her cocktails were absolutely delicious, and watching the care and attention she put into making each drink — particularly some of the classics — was brilliant. I was on a night out with some of my best mates and by chance found this wonderful beautifully lit bar down the stairs. It came in a copper cup but I had to many of them and forgot what it was called. Amazing place great service and had a great night in the booth with my old mates. We had a delightful experience at Eau-de-Vie tonight. We were celebrating a birthday and were presented with complimentary taster cocktails shortly after sitting down. The service was excellent. We were looked after by Max and when I was disappointed with my dessert choice of tiramisu, which was lovely, it just didn’t compare to the white chocolate and caramel cheesecake, and had food envy over my partner’s dessert, Max took mine away and replaced it with my preferred choice, not charging me for the tiramisu. The description in the menu of the cheesecake completely undersold it. It was an outstanding 10/10 culinary experience.The cocktails were vibrant and flavourful and the descriptions entertaining.They have hooks where you sit at the bar to hang your bag/coat which I loved.Overall it was thoroughly enjoyable and we look forward to going back.
