I found this place online while looking for and being hopeful I would find a place for my 3yr old. To make an appt for a try-out was so easy and the same day. When we walked it. We were greeted with kindness and the energy felt welcoming. My son was enthusiastic which was weird cause he is usually guarded and when class was done he was so happy and asked when are we coming back . I would totally recommend. They have so much patience for little kids especially high energetic ones like my son.

Gracie Barra was a great experience for my son, he was there for a little under a year in the class for 2-4 year olds. They have a mix of everything, drills, technique, and a fun game at the end. We plan to return because my son misses it! And I'm hoping to put my daughter in as soon as she's older. We loved our time at Gracie Barra Whittier and all the coaches!

I've been doing jujutsu with them for over a year now, but due to my work schedule, I have to take time off here and there. I love going to the 11 o’clock class. They’re older, like myself, 30- to 40-year-olds. The gym is really accommodating: you can ask as many questions as you want, get personalized instruction, and there’s always time at the end of class to work on any techniques. Best of all, the other Members will be happy to stay after class to help you work on your technique or to get more rounds in.

Started my training at Gracie Barra Whittier in 2023 and believe it or not, it was honestly one of the best decisions of my life. went in with no experience in any kind of martial art and coach Alex and Professor Phil made me feel very welcomed, I met a lot of good people and made a lot of friends along the way. before signing up and trying the trial class, my intention was to try out other gyms before sticking to one but the experience training with Phil and Alex made it an easy decision to stay and till this day it is still my home gym. highly recommend signing up at Gracie Barra Whittier, or even just to drop by and visit.

I've been wanting to enroll my son into BJJ for the last couple years but didn't know where to look. Someone I know recommended Gracie Barra gym and I was fortunate to find one so close by to home. My son loves taking the classes here! We did a free trial and right away he engaged with the coaches so we signed him up. They take the time to make personal connection with each child, while still keeping the momentum of the group going. Very impressive for a group of 3-4 year olds! I can tell this is going to be great to help my son with his discipline and focus, while growing him athletically as well.
