Dr Phil Townsend , Dr Catherine Quirk, Jen Hoult principal dietician and Stephanie van Diemen helped me to start my journey for Gastroscopy + Laparoscopic single Anastomosis Gastric Bypass. I’m 67 years old type two diabetes insulin dependent high blood pressure cholesterol and suffer from anxiety.Every appointment left me feeling motivated and confident, and the guidance I received has helped me make changes that feel sustainable—not stressful. I have struggled with maintaining a healthy weight most of my adult life. With a family of 6 and shift working as a registered nurse it was often hard to eat regular healthy means.Phil and his team provided excellent options both medication or surgical to reach my goal. The comprehensive team at TWLSC work well to support you during your health journey with excellent post op care . I chose to be re-sleeved and have a mini bypass while having a hiatus hernia repair. The surgical team did regular rounding during my hospital stay and all my concerns were quickly addressed by the team when I called the centre after discharge.I would highly recommend TWLSC to anyone thinking about assisted weightloss as you will be informed of all the available options and the best recommendations for your lifestyle and weight goals.

The Weight Loss Specialist Clinic has been amazing. They have been open, honest and approachable at all times. It was a hard decision to make to change my life, but I was sick of feeling sick. But after meeting Dr Townend, Dr Quirk, Jen and Steph, I have felt supported at all steps through this journey. They have been fantastic, they are always on the phone or email to answer any of questions, or help me to work through the changes my body is going through post surgery.Dr Townend and Dr Quirk did a fabulous job with my surgery, my recovery time was super quick, I was off all pain meds within 48 hours, and up and moving around within hours of my surgery.It was the best decision I have ever made, 12 kgs down already at the 4 week mark. Its different for everyone, but I am super happy with my results.I would recommend this clinic and their holistic approach to anyone considering the same options.
