Our family wanted to add a detached garage to our home in St. George. As I started the process of searching for builders to give me bids , the process was very frustrating. I found it very difficult to even get a returned phone call from any contractors. I actually called over 20 different contractors and ended up only getting a few that would even call me back. Most the contractors who did call back weren't interested unless it was a big project, since many of them were so busy and overbooked with work. But, finally, one contractor that actually did call me back was Ethan Anderson from Legit Construction. Given I'm not in the construction industry and don't live full time in St. George, I needed someone who was familiar with the local building codes, permitting process and sub contractors to help run and lead this project. Ethan came in and met with my wife and I and he listened to what were wanted in our detached garage project. He made some suggestions to help us improve on the design and in a short time came back with how he would approach the project and his bid. He also explained how he would approach the build and the sub contractors he would use and how he would coordinate with us on our project. We were impressed with his decades of experience and the references of other projects of our size he had completed. We selected Ethan and Legit Construction, based on our overall confidence in the quality of his work and his ability to run this project. Like I said we don't live full time in St. George and his local presence was key in our decision. I actually did get two other bids that were so vague and unimpressive that it made the decision of working with Ethan the most logical in our view. One of the keys to this project was matching the look and feel of the new garage to make it appear as though it had been there with the original build of the home. With the help of our designer, Ethan was able to work to help us really match the old stucco color to the new structure. Something he told us would be very difficult to do. But Ethan and his team over delivered on matching the old with the new. We have friends and neighbors comment how the new garage looks like it was there from the beginning. During the project Ethan was on top of the entire process and the communication we had with him was key to making this a smooth process. I understand that occasionally the customer will make changes to the original project plan. Ethan again stepped in and helped us through some of the minor changes we had. Again he made some suggestions to us and helped us avoid some of the pitfalls made on projects like this given his years of experience. In the end we were thrilled with the result of the finished product, our new garage. Ethan was attentive, thorough and detailed oriented. I have referred Ethan to three of my neighbors and would recommend him for your consideration and your project. I usually don't write reviews for services I've received but in this case, I made an exception and I a happy to provide a glowing review of the services we received from Ethan and Legit Construction. Our needs were met right from the beginning; paperwork for HOA approval and throughout the entire project. Everyone at our house cleaned up after themselves so we never had a mess.
