The Xperience

I spent a full week diving with Cenote Experience in February 2026, and three weeks later back in Canada, I am still dreaming of those cenotes. Ocean dives (22/02): Tortuga & Barracuda reefs with Beto Cenotes (23–24/02): Sapote, King Ha, Dos Ojos Bat Cave & El Pit with Martin; Choc Mol Kukulkan & Little Brother with Nico *Booking & Communication* Booking from Canada was smooth and reassuring. Communication via email and WhatsApp was fast, clear, and reliable. When I spontaneously added extra dive days while already in Mexico, everything was arranged seamlessly. Payment flexibility (cash or card) is also a real plus — especially when the diving addiction kicks in 🙂 *Professionalism, Safety & Emotional Intelligence* Martin and Nico, the owners, run the shop with remarkable professionalism and emotional intelligence. They create a calm, grounded atmosphere from pickup to drop-off — exactly what cenote diving calls for. They truly listen. I asked for help fine-tuning my weights, and they took the time to assist carefully. I also asked for briefings to be delivered slowly and clearly, and they adapted immediately. I felt heard and supported. Their attention to buoyancy control and trim is excellent — especially in delicate cenote environments. They emphasize safety and protecting the fragile environment without ever making the atmosphere rigid. It’s structured, but peaceful. Technical, but human. Groups are small (maximum four divers, sometimes fewer, and will dive with a solo diver), which allows for individualized attention and a very safe experience. Equipment is high quality and well maintained. Spare equipements on hand and included entrance fees are really appreciated. Transportation is punctual at hotel pick up and comfortable. The lunches provided between dives are delicious and perfectly adapted to surface interval needs. I love their t-shorts, and the fact that I can leave my wetsuit to dry in their shop. The team is fluent in English as well. CenoteXperience was recommended by Scuba Women, I am glad I took them up on their referral. *Transformative Diving* My first dive in a cenote in Sapote with Martin hooked me for life — absolutely jaw-dropping. My final private dive in Choc Mol Kukulkan with Nico was transformative. I surfaced laughing and sobbing at the same time. 60 minutes in surreal waters. Cenote diving is inherently peaceful, and this team embodies that grounding presence while maintaining high technical standards. I look forward to returning and eventually progressing from cavern to cave diving with them. Highly recommended.
