BL James was super easy to deal with, were very responsive, and were very fairly priced. I received 3 proposals for my heat pump replacement and there's was the strongest both in terms of cost and value. Also, they focus on Daikin products and my deep research on Daikin strongly supported it was the best bang for the buck, especially when considering their 12 year warranty.The install was scheduled within only a couple of days after i signed the contract and the install team was very efficient, respectful, and was not disruptive. Gustavo and Eduardo were a pleasure to deal with and explained everything. They also came in the 1-hour window they said they would, which i dont take for granted.Ill be using them for my other HVAC needs.

BL James and Son are PHENOMENAL!!! First of all, they are TRUSTWORTHY. Exceptional customer service. They can fix anything. They have been maintaining my Arlington house since 2003. Last week, I had an emergency AC weekend after hours issue that they fixed in an hour. This week, I had a gas leak. They came out for an emergency visit during a winter snowstorm to fix the job. They do the same with heating, AC, plumbing, electrical. There are benefits to being a longtime customer during a time when other contractors can be a real drag, these guys are the very best. I had a leaking bathtub that was coming through the ceiling. I had tried to unclog it myself and in the process had somehow loosened the nut. George came on time and promptly fixed the nut and didn't charge us for it since it took him seconds. I remembered that the pressure release valve on the water heater was leaking water occasionally. I showed it to George and was informed that it was a potentially catastrophic problem. I had to go to work so I showed George where the water cut off was in the basement and went to work. When I returned, my wife told me that he had fixed the problem and given us a very fair bill. I'll be using BL James for my HVAC and plumbing needs from now on. Other companies would have probably charged me for the bathroom leak. I was also informed by Aaron that he had a person that could repair the drywall damage on the ceiling.My outside AC unit was screaming this morning so I turned it off and called BL James again. Chris had a guy coming between 3 and 5. Mauricio was here at 3 and diagnosed the problem. The motor was completely shot. He gave me a quote, got the part, cleaned the unit and competed the repair by 5:30! Their service is the best in NOVA. Both my daughter and I have hadBL James come out for a number of repairs and every time their work has been exceptional.I have often been surprised that they are able to find a way to fix the problem that is less costly than I anticipated.For example, another Company estimated a project at over $800 and they were able to do the same project for under $300.I have found this company to be honest, always on time and with good communication. I wouldn’t want to hire any other company in the future.

The semi-annual HVAC service provided by the Mark, the Tech on June 5, 2026, was excellent. He kept me informed of what he was doing while he was checking my two (2) units and changing the filters.
