Super easy to schedule and great communication leading up to the appointment. The tech that inspected and serviced our HVAC was friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. He also gave us clear next steps on services we should schedule, what cleaning and maintenance we could probably do on our own, and what to watch out for as our middle aged system gets older.I will definitely be reaching out again if/when we have any other needs.

We had been getting pretty disillusioned with our previous hvac company that showed up in random windows and didn't communicate that well. Them being bought by a private equity company was the last straw (that's a real thing out there in hvac world). When it was time to replace our furnace, i looked for a family owned and run firm and found BL James. Interactions have been very positive, communication has been great via both email to office and texts with the owner. Their system alerts you when they are 15 minutes out and when i stupidly broke something, Mauricio was super pleasant to deal with. On top of that, they found us a very good price on a hybrid heat pump system. Installation went pretty smoothly on a snowy day, one minor hiccup which the owner followed up on next morning to make sure had been resolved.

BL James was quick to respond and schedule a two part service call,. which they were able to schedule during the same window on the same day. The two "teams" showed up and were extremely polite right out of the gate. They diagnosed the problems, attacked it and provided some additional insights- all fixed efficiently and effectively. Even better, they didn't try to upsell or push other services or items.BL James and Son is our new go to.
