We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mount Barney Lodge. It was so wonderfully peaceful—we loved playing in the creek, doing some bush walks nearby, taking in the beautiful mountain views, and spotting kangaroos around the property. A few minor improvements could make the experience even better for future guests:- Amenities Block: With only two showers in the male and female amenities, this became quite crowded with a long wait for the shower in the evening rush. Adding push-button timers/time limits on the showers might help this, as some guests took excessively long showers.- Servicing & Supplies: During our stay the hand soap ran out on Saturday morning and the toilet paper ran out early Sunday morning, and we had to report both to the office on Sunday morning to get restocked. I acknowledge this was a busy weekend, but more frequent checks and restocking of the supplies would be beneficial during busy periods.Fire Rings: Minor suggestion, but I think redistributing some of the fire rings more evenly across the grounds would help campers spread out more comfortably.Overall, we had a lovely trip and appreciate the team's work. With a little extra attention during busy weekends, this place would be absolute perfection! Looking forward to our next visit.

Mount Barney Lodge is an outstanding place to get away from busy streets and hustle and bustle of daily life, and enjoy some peace, quiet and truly spectacular views.Troy and Rebecca are really lovely hosts, and Mia the farm dog was equally welcoming and friendly.Really lovely grounds and clean facilities - very happy to recommend Mt Barney Lodge.I do believe we saw Fireflies down by the River, just after sunset (in early October)

This place is quiet and beautiful! We stayed in the rustic Henry Hut. Linens were provided as well as a full kitchen and comfy chairs on the porch. So easy to relax and get out for that early morning wildlife hike. The proprietors were wonderful and accommodating.

So good to see Mt Barney Lodge in great hands under the new management. They’re genuinely lovely, welcoming people and there’s a really positive feel about the place again.It’s such a beautiful spot at the foot of Mt Barney, with great camping, the creek and an incredible natural setting. If you haven’t been for a while, it’s definitely worth coming back and seeing it for yourself. Rebecca and Troy deserve plenty of support as they take this special place forward.

Tranquility and peacefulness with good facilities. With Mount Barney towering above, this camping space is perfect to unwind and slow down. Highly recommend. New owners so will be interesting to see what changes take place and Troy and Bec putting their own ideas into place. I hope to see improvements but also things staying the same. Recommend the walk to Lower Portals in the cool months.

The view of the stars on a clear night is truly amazing. The new owners are so friendly and welcoming. We love coming back to Mt Barney as there's no road or rail noise to spoil the sounds of nature that surround you. We loved seeing Mia the dog on her daily rounds of the camp ground. There are lots of flat grassy areas with fire pits for camping. Looking forward to returning soon.

Great place to getaway, relax with lots of space in the camping area. Amenities are good & clean. No camp kitchen but there is a washing up sink and laundry tub available. Lots of wildlife to see & it's an easy walk up to Yellow Pinch. Houses, cabins & ready set up camp trailers are good options if you are not equipped for camping.

First time camping at Mount Barney Lodge, though it has been on my to do list for far too long. The location is superb with views to the imposing Mount Barney and Mount Maroon, and frontage to the Logan River with rock pools (and frogs) galore. Camping sites are generally flat and most are shaded. Massive thanks to the lodge for lending me some doonas when I stupidly left the sleeping bags at home.

I booked one of the permanent trailer tents as don't have my own camping gear.It had everything needed for a pleasant stay - gas stove with matches, power for charging phone, battery etc, double and 2 single beds, plates , bowls, cutlery, pots and pans, even had tea and coffee. Table and chairs provided.Needed to bring bedding, esky and food etc. Although they can supply bedding for a fee.Its a stunning area with a gorgeous view of Mt Barney whilst you are sipping your coffee.Toilet and shower block within 25 metres ish with hot water.Great hikes nearby. Can walk to Yellow Pinch from the campsite which is the start of Mt Barney hikes, Cronan Creek Falls or Yellow Pinch lookout.There are also a set of steps that lead down to the creek with a beautiful waterhole to cool off.Troy and Beck were lovely, welcoming and looked after me after an ankle injury. I've never been more grateful.

Property and facilities are extremely well maintained. Walking distance to yellow pinch car park.I had one perfect night with only a handful of other campers around, enjoying the peace and quiet. It was a shame that the next day a troupe of dozens of families rocked up, playing music for the entire campground and teenagers screaming at each other playing in the dark. They didn’t seem interested in the beautiful natural surrounds. But it’s a decent base camp for Barney exploration, regardless.

Robert and I had a fantastic time camping at Mt Barney. It was cold so the fires came in handy. We also cooked on the fire too. Potatoes, sweet potato and fish. So yummy. Where we camped was great too. The new owners were very inviting and friendly and we also got to spend time with Mia their beautiful and friendly dog who welcomes and loves lots of pets. We can't wait till our next trip to Mt Barney. Hopefully very soon. Thanks so much.

A wonderful weekend away beneath the majesty of Mount Barney, enjoying the rustic comfort and charm of Foresters Hut. Fresh air, campfires, long walks, rock hopping in the creek and nights spent stargazing - the perfect antidote to busy city life.

Loved the cosiness of Henry's Hut, however, no insect screens so the windows had to stay closed, got a bit stuffy inside. The main bed was very uncomfortable and really not big enough for 2 reasonably sized adults. On our last night we had an uninvited visitor as we slept, that got into the bread rolls and had a feast. The lounge room seating really needs replacing- very threadbare. Also, couldn't lock the door for security.These are the reasons I gave a 3 for the room. It was clean and welcoming and well equiped, especially the BBQ area and deck. The location was perfect and we had 2 great days exploring the area, creeks and 4WDriving.

Mt Barney lodge camping was an excellent idea, lovely staff at the office were a great help with nearby hikes. Area was lovely, not too packed, pretty good facilities and a lovely dog trotting around the area.
