If you join this gym, the absolute worst thing that might happen is you make a bunch of new friends, and/or travel or hiking buddies, and feel pretty good about yourself those times of the day you catch your reflection in something shiny. A best case scenario, and far more likely, is you find yourself in a like-minded community of kindred folk focused on becoming the best versions of themselves, and supporting you in doing the same. It’s difficult to overstate just how kind and welcoming this community is, with members drawn from many cultures, countries, and creeds. If you have a funny accent (like I do), you’ll be welcome here; if you prefer to workout in a hijab, you’ll be welcome here; if you feel a little insecure because you’re just beginning your fitness journey and haven’t earned your ideal body yet, this is where we all started, and you will be especially welcome here. The owners, Rob and Val, are wholly committed to your good health and safety, and are constantly on hand to offer feedback on lifting techniques and programs. Rob has a deadpan way about him but he is, definitively, one of the most generous, dedicated people you’ll meet, and you’ll appreciate his directness when you’re trying to figure out what’s wrong with your form (or you can just ask Val). Trust me - listen when either speaks. Their commitment to the cleanliness, functionality, and broader positive culture of Landmark is also first-class.And if you ever need a boost, there’s always Ovie, the resident gym dog and official morale officer. He’s an 11/10 good boy with top-tier vibes and always up for a quick hello. Feel free to come by and say hi to Ovie, and while you’re here might as well have a chat with the team about where you want your health to be in a few months. Can’t make it today? No worries—here’s a photo to put a little pep in your day just the same. Hopefully, you take the leap and we’ll be acquainted soon, but in the meantime, happy lifting.
