My anxious and energetic Jack Russell left TLC happy and worn out. This is the third facility I’ve tried for her and is the first one she didn’t care to leave. It really showed how much love and attention she got from staff! The report card was worth the $3; I got several pictures and notes from a couple staff members about my dog. I also greatly appreciated the detailed intake form so they could really get to know my dog. Leslie, the owner, even called to go over the form with me incase they needed any clarification. TLC is a life saver! I had a family reunion planned for this weekend and my cat was seriously injured a few days ago. I was able to drop her off and know that she would be in good hands and get her medications on time, so I didn’t have to worry about her during my family event. The facilities are modern, clean, spacious, and perfect for my baby to be safe and comfortable. When we called, we explained that we were making our reservation explicitly because he had fleas. They never told us there would be an additional $20 charge. Then, on the day of pickup, we called early asking if we might be able to pick him up at 11 am instead of 8. They said that would be fine. What they should have said was, "No problem, but just so you know, there will be an additional $60 charge to pick up after 10 am. Is that OK?" It wasn't okay. But they didn't communicate that. We would have picked him up before 10 of we knew that. Yes, we understand that there are costs associated with running a business. We run our own business. But it's not reasonable to put everything in the terms and conditions and not verbally communicate important details to your customers. It was probably just an oversight, but this experience just made our bad situation worse. We still have to board him again to treat the house a second time, and will not be going here. Less

I highly recommend Tender Loving Care Pet Hotel. My nearly two year old toy poodle, Maddux, is full of energy, but also experiences anxiety. The TLC staff took the time to provide enrichment activities for Maddux and the daily report cards with pictures reassured my family that Maddux was having a great time. My family will definitely be back when we need to board Maddux again and we will know Maddux is in great hands at TLC. Less

I took my first trip after getting my two dogs, Ollie and Jasper nearly 5 years ago. They had never boarded anywhere and I was really nervous about leaving them. I called my vet’s office and found it would be super cheap to board them there, but they’d be in a small kennel all day long and only go out twice a day. My dogs are smaller and there’s no way my little Papillon could have handled that. I looked at a couple of other options, but they allowed dogs to play together and it just made me nervous as I have a semi reactive Aussie. He probably would have been ok there, but I really wasn’t feeling great about that option. Someone mentioned the TLC Pet Nursing Hotel and I called them right away. Just talking to them on the phone brought a lot of peace about the decision and I felt like I had found the right place. The staff were super friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. I even went to visit the facility before committing to it. It is on the pricier side, but Ollie and Jasper had a blast and I do not regret taking them there at all! They had their own suite where they could stay together (it even had a tv to watch calming animal videos), went out every two hours, did enrichment, had a bath and nail trim, and received a lot of love and attention. They even had someone come read them a story! I cannot recommend TLC Pet Nursing Hotel enough. My boys were so pampered while they were there. The staff is amazing and really helped put my anxious mind at ease so that I could be fully present with my family and enjoy my trip. I loved getting their report cards each day with photos. We were pleased with the care of our elderly fur baby who had previously never been boarded. Sadie is elderly, needed to be boarded fur baby who’s is elderly who is vision impaired with light perception only, has multiple medical issues that require insulin injections daily, multiple meds twice a day and is on a special diet. In addition she has limited mobility issues as well all the anxiety that goes along with being boarded in a strange place. TLC provided a comfortable place for Sadie and was very willing and able to accommodate the medical needs, physical, mental and personality quirks that makes Sadie who she is. Having the added services of updates and pictures gave us peace of mind while we were gone. They were very professional and thorough, the facility is clean and well maintained and the kennels are well lit with any accessories we wanted to bring from home for her comfort. My 2 dogs, Cooper & Ozzy, have spent time and TLC Pet Nursing Hotel and I feel that have been well care for. Cooper is old and not very active, but Ozzy is 1 1/2 yrs. old and very active. The enrichment program has been good for Ozzy. He loves the games and the interaction with the staff. I feel comfortable leaving my pets at TLC and their care is very important to me. Love TLC. I have two very senior little fur kids. One is almost 18 and doesn't hear or see very well; the other is 14, is totally deaf, has no teeth and needs medication for Cushing's disease. They're high maintenance. I boarded them a couple of other places and was not satisfied with them being turned out with a bunch of other dogs and a general lack of attention. They simply can't handle the stress. TLC to the rescue! I can leave them there and not worry about them. Pricey...yes. Worth every penny... absolutely, yes! The only place I'll leave them. You just walk in the front door and you can immediately see and feel the difference from your typical vet or pet boarding facility. It felt and looked like home. My dog typically comes home with kennel cough or so hoarse he couldn't bark. He came home healthy and with a voice. He seemed calm and rested. He got daily enrichment and we were sent daily pictures and a report card. It's a special place for your special pet. They kept his medicine routine going with no issues. Thank you! Less

I cannot say enough to convey how wonderful TLC is and has been for our 3 dachshunds. We had two go over the rainbow bridge this year, Ginger and Sparky Bob. They both had illnesses that TLC was able to deal with in their care. My husband and I never felt uncomfortable or frightened when we left them there. We were one of their first customers and so want them to continue their success because they truly are amazing and comforting people who absolutely love animals. We recently had to take our last and oldest (17 years old) dachshund to stay for just a few hours. Zoey has been devastated with the loss of her siblings. Tender Loving Care Pet Nursing Hotel kept my miniature dachshund from12/26-1/10 while we were on vacation. My dog Maui suffers from IVDD and needs special care, including bladder expression and medication administration. I was unable to keep her with our other dogs (watched by my brother) while we were gone due to her needs. They took excellent care of her while we were gone, and even were accommodating when our trip was unexpectedly extended by 2 days due to severe weather. My cat is old, stubborn, and diabetic. Finding somewhere that could not just medicate her but also ensure that she kept eating even while away from home? Almost impossible, until TLC. They are constantly going above and beyond the call of duty. They've sat in her run with her to encourage her to eat, let her wander the office when she's the only cat in the place, and called a vet the one time she was under the weather. They have been nothing but flexible and lovely every time my cat's stayed there--including when I had a family emergency and couldn't give them a return date when I dropped her off. I truly don't know what I'd do if TLC wasn't around. Less

I have worked here for a year and it has been the best place I have ever worked. Leslie is an amazing boss, we have an amazing team. Our facility is ALWAYS spotless, and out pet guest are given the royal treatment. We go above and beyond for all pets but those extra specials ones who need the extra care, someone is always there to make sure they are taken care of, we have great communication even when staff isn't working we are always checking in our guest, they are like our family! We love them like our own. Our enrichment program is amazing as well, I have seen dogs make such huge strides from having extreme anxiety to after a few sessions with TY they are showing less and less each time. Most of the time our repeat pet guest are so excited when their parents pull up because they know they are going to be very well taken care of and get lots of TLC from everyone. Less

Update: We've since housed our three senior pups with TLC three times, and they still amaze me with their level of communication, attention, and professionalism. Our dogs enjoy their time there...almost not wanting to come home after their stay! --- This was the first time we've ever boarded our three senior pups, so we were nervous about how they would respond. Our worries were quickly settled when we got the first report card with pictures and saw the literal smiles that they had. Dan did very well at this Wonderful, Caring, business! We appreciated the daily email Report Cards that let us know and see in the photos how Happy Dan was; interacting with his “New Friends” both canine and human. The Enrichment Program helped him expend any excess energy and utilized his intelligence to acclimate and stimulated his mind to dissuade boredom. They understood what his individual needs were & tailored his care to suit. Dan hadn’t been away from home without us except with our Son who Dan loves spending time with. So it was like the first day of kindergarten for our Dan, our 2 year old Australian Shepherd; and for over a week away! We are ABSOLUTELY pleased with TLC and will have Dan visit then again! I would highly recommend this place for your pets especially if they deal with anxiety or are not socialized with other animals. The place is very clean and comfortable. They can send you daily updates on your pet with a report on how they are fairing. I don’t give five stars easily as I believe there is always something to improve. I entrusted my senior dog who has significant medical needs with TLC while our family went on vacation. We had considered multiple options for him, including euthanizing because I didn’t want him to die alone in a boarding room alone. Now I have returned and picked up my dog and have only solidified my belief I definitely made the right choice leaving him in their care. I received daily reports on how my dog was doing, his temperament, and photos of him. I appreciated how staff were careful clarify my senior dogs care needs. I truly felt the staff empathized with our family and our dog. He received so much spoiling and looked more comfortable in the photos then I had seen him in awhile. We just boarded our two French Bulldogs with TLC this past weekend and had the most amazing experience from drop-off to pick-up. The staff is warm and welcoming; it is obvious that they love animals. The suite where my dogs stayed was spacious with a comfortable bed and toys for them to use. They offered enrichment activities with the dogs during the day and sent a daily report card that included videos, pictures, and a description of their daily activities. They were very thorough when we enrolled them thus making them fully aware of our dogs' needs. When we got our dogs home from TLC, they were calm and happy; it seemed they loved their stay! Our anxious dachshund stayed with TLC for four nights. While there we received reports of being confident and happy along with how she played "find the kibbles" and ran all around the lobby. When we picked her up, she of course wanted to go home, but she showed none of the problems we've had with other situations. My big dog Chewie stayed with TLC for just over a week. if you don't like reading: They're good, your dog will be well cared for. The good: My dog got a lot of interactions with a lot of different people doing different, interesting activities. That kept him entertained and largely out of trouble. The people at TLC obviously understand how to work with large dogs, and he came home happy and excited. The 'bad" the price was about $75/night. Lets be clear, thats a reasonable price for the amount of work they do with the dogs. I just am cutting back where I can and this hurt a little. Id strongly recommend TLC for weekend or shorter stays. For longer, theyll do a great job, but do the math in advance so you dont get sticker shock. Less

My little Eddie, a Pomeranian, stayed at the Tender Loving Care Pet Nursing Hotel for his first stay away from me and my son, without staying with family, and he's about 13 years old. He seemed to love it there! They let him be himself, gave him extra luv and sent out a report card of a very happy doggo! It costs more than just a crated boarding but you get so much more out of it. We left our fur babies with TLC for a week. We got daily report cards that included photos and details about their demeanor and behavior. I looked forward to the report cards coming through, very reassuring knowing they were content and being well cared for. One of our dogs had a bandage on that had to remain intact (if not it was a trip to OC vet to be changed!) she also wore a cone and donut to keep her from eating the bandage. Omg, this was the very first time I’d ever had to leave Bentley unless it was with family and he’s never been in any type of kennel. I cried when I dropped him off. They called me later that evening just to let me know he was settling in and doing just fine. I had him groomed the same day before I dropped him off and he smelled just as good when I picked him up. We have had a great experience with TLC both times we have used them for our dog. The second and most recent time, they went above and beyond for us. Our dog was EXTREMELY anxious when I dropped him off. He didn't want anyone to be near him and he was not happy about being left. The staff let him calm down on his own time and told me everything would be fine and not to worry about a thing. I received an email later that night confirming my dog was doing well. The next morning I called to check on him and he was acting anxious again so they were calling the staff in from the previous night that he had bonded with to be with him and help him calm down. TLC is simply THE BEST, in my humble opinion. I have a Lhasa that I know is not the easiest dog to care for but, TLC goes above and beyond in caring for her. During her most recent visit, when I was out of state, she was on 3 different antibiotics which needed to be given with food. First, let me tell you, this dog is spoiled, I'll admit - she wants someone to sit with her while she eats, sleeps, and generally, most of the time. I'm sure it's not uncommon for a dog to not want to eat when boarded but, the staff at TLC did their very best to get her to eat, and would call me for advice when she wouldn't eat. She was given extra attention while boarded, and I was given a report card and pictures daily. Never before have I been able to leave her and feel confident that she will be given the best care possible. We left our cat for the holidays while we were visiting family out of state. Our cat is a rescue, he was abandoned so he gets stressed and anxious easily. We choose TLC as the place to leave our puppy over the Christmas holiday because we were able to leave him for only the 24th and 25th instead of the 3 to 4 nights that most other facilities are requiring due to holiday hours. Dropped my dog off over the Christmas holiday for boarding, my dog had never boarded before prior to this. My dog needs a little extra attention and care for his personality. I received report cards letting me know how he was doing throughout his stay. Staff was very friendly and easy to communicate with for drop off and pick up. Our 8 year old border collie Nyah usually experiences a high level of separation anxiety when she is boarded. It was such a great experience for her at TLC!!! She walked in with her tail wagging and even after 12 days she was so happy and relaxed when we picked her up. I am so impressed with Leslie and the entire staff. My dog, Paul, has special needs when it comes to his anxiety and difficulty getting along with other animals and most people. The wonderful staff at TLC gave extra attention to Paul to make his boarding experiences great ones. I came out of my shell a bit and gave TLC a chance and I am SO glad I did. Leslie and her staff knew I was nervous and gave me a tour and showed me all the things they do with/for their animals during their stays and it was refreshing to see how much care goes into it. It made me feel at peace. They email you with updates every 24 hours with photos and a summary of how they are doing, which I really liked. I have never used services like this before, but I felt the price was reasonable given the level of care and attention they give the animals.
