When selecting any product or service, it is the consumer's responsibility and obligation to ask questions and interview sellers and service providers. This is especially true for concrete contractors. Concrete and concrete work is expensive, so must be done correctly the FIRST time. Fixing mistakes, or having to do it over would be financially prohibitive for most.When first meeting with the Silver Star Construction/Concrete team, all my concerns were made known to Marcelo Jr. He listened, noted, and addressed each one, then explained how his team would ensure every concern was addressed and incorporated into the concrete work. I wanted a 6" monolithic slab, with thick, and durable moisture barrier. I wanted 1/2" rebar, tripple reenforced within the footers. I wanted rebar chairs, so the rebar would not sit on the ground. I wanted the slab aligned with and facing South. I requested drip edge around the parameter of the foundation. I requested a slope at each bay door. I wanted the concrete to be level, square, and finished to a near polished finish. Silver Star reviewed the building plans, asked questions, pointed out possible issues with the drawings, and addressed every concern. In the end, Marcelo Sr. ensured the slab was completed on time, ahead of schedule and incorporated every design detail I requested.When the project started, I was anxious and nervous. By the time Silver Star team rolled out, I had no more anxiety, the slab looked amazing and they even removed all forming materials, scraps of lumber & rebar, and trash. The experience working with Silver Star Concrete was professional and efficient.My future concrete projects will be with Silver Star Concrete.

I reached out to this company to get a quote for a possible concrete project. I scheduled a phone call on their website per their protocol which they didn't call at my scheduled time. I reached back out to them and I was able to talk to someone who agreed that someone would come by on Friday to do measurements. No one ever showed up on Friday and I took off work to try to meet them. I never received a call or text. I understand things/mistakes happen (just like the missed phone call), but a simple call or text would've been appreciated.Update: Marcelo reached out to apologize and re -offer his services. I respect and appreciate the customer service from him and his company because of lot of businesses would've disregarded the review. Everything has been smooth sailing so far and I would recommend him for your concrete needs.

Price was comparable with other estimates. They kept me informed about their schedule and weather delays. Cleaned up after themselves and returned property back to its original state.

Silver Star Construction is 5-star. My problem was a poorly designed driveway that would put water into my garage every time it rained, how did previous owners live like this, I will never know. Previous owners tried to fix with drains everywhere... But here comes Marcello and team!! They demoed my old broken driveway and properly site graded the driveway to be lower then the garage and have water flow away from garage and to the backyard. No drains No issues 100% perfect. They know what they are doing. I had several folks in the construction world and or retired concrete folks tell me "whoever did your driveway knew what they where doing!" and I tell them Silver Star Construction! They also added a much needed retaining wall. They will be getting another call soon to pour concrete for my shop and patio upgrades in the future! Great job, communication was on point and they showed up on time. A+++

I don’t usually give a review for work done but Marcello and his crew were excellent and exceeded my expectations.They replaced a section of my driveway and a portion of the walkway and steps leading to the front door.The quote for the job left nothing to be assumed- everything was spelled out and carried out.They were punctual and completed the job as scheduled.Marcello came back about 3 weeks after completion to make sure we were happy with the work- which we were.I highly recommend and have recommended to two of my neighbors who asked for his contact information so they could get him for similar repairs.You can’t go wrong choosing this company.
