My husband and I have eaten at lone pine twice. The 1st time was ok. The Bloody Mary wedge was terrible. It didn’t even resemble a wedge salad. We decided to stop in last night.. we ordered two Caesar salads and had them add chicken. The salads were drenched in bread crumbs- not croutons.. bread crumbs.. so the salad was terribly dry. The bartender is great- the chef not so sure.

All the stars!!! Wish we had tried Lone Pine sooner. Carmel has so many nice restaurants, this one flew under our radar. Now we want to tell everyone how amazing it is! Try the 14 oz. Strip Loin. I loved my Salmon entree, but I took one taste of that steak and wanted to trade plates. The cocktails are original, fresh, and it felt like there was a signature cocktail for anyone’s taste. And the service was excellent. Our server knew the menu— he didn’t just recite it. He was very attentive without hovering. Also, we could hear our conversation —that feels rare these days with so many tables close together. Lone Pone felt intimate and spacious at the same time. Can you tell we really loved this place? Park in the parking garage, it’s free and an easy walk to the restaurant.

Great starters, drinks, and service, but the main course presentation missed the mark. The oysters, salad, and sides were all delicious, and our server was excellent. My only issue was ordering the tomahawk steak and having it arrive pre-sliced off the bone in the kitchen. It completely defeats the purpose and theater of ordering a tomahawk. Good food, but skip the tomahawk markup.

Beautiful inside and outside. Nice wine list and dinner menu but a bit pricey for what you get. Will definitely be back.
