I had considered refractive lens replacement surgery for many years. About 10 years ago I attended a well known large company who assessed me and booked me in for surgery within a week.! I had not met the surgeon, didn’t know which lens I was going to receive and had little information to make an informed decision to go ahead with surgery. Consequently I cancelled.I am short sighted and have an astigmatism. I also had the complication of a scar on my right cornea. From the age of 45 years I became long sighted too. I managed on mono vision contact lenses (1 eye for distance 1 eye for close) and varifocal glasses. Each year my near sighted prescription was increased causing my distant vision in contact lens to be compromised.I hated wearing glasses as I do yoga. Swimming was a nightmare as I had to go with impaired vision and I couldn’t see!When headaches and fatigue occurred whilst working on a computer all day I thought I had menopause symptoms? Turned out it was eye strain!My eye clinic gave me what I needed -the explanation ,the choice ,the confidence to have this surgery.The surgery is the simple part ,choosing the correct lens is the most important thing.I was treated with respect given time and support throughout my journey .iI had ample opportunity to meet my surgeon and discuss the the pros and cons of RLRI would highly recommend My eye clinic to anyone .Throwing away the glasses and no more expensive contact lens prescriptions is the best thing ever!

I recently had lens replacement at My Eye Clinic for short sight with Mr Ghosh. The man is a genius. I had a minus prescription of 9.5 in both eyes meaning I couldn’t even find my glasses on my bedside table. Putting on makeup, swimming, sports…all much more difficult and dry eye meant I couldn’t consider laser surgery. Mr Ghosh explained my options to me very clearly and carefully and we decided to go for a single vision lens replacement which would mean I needed reading glasses but would otherwise be glasses free. That would have been a great result for me having had such poor sight but I’ve ended up with 20/20 vision in my left eye and 20/40 vision in my other and no reading glasses! I couldn’t be more delighted. It’s genuinely life changing. The whole team are exceptional in every way: great communication and care every step of the way and all my anxiety about the surgery itself was for nothing because the procedure is so quick and painless. If you’re thinking about it I’d honestly say just go for it. The freedom from glasses is worth it and there’s no one who will do a better job than Mr Ghosh. I researched clinics even going as far as Leeds for a consultation but I’m so glad I went with My Eye Clinic. I’m now looking forward to showing my eyes stuff they haven’t seen properly in years even with glasses and buying my first pair of off the shelf sunglasses was honestly such a great moment 😂 Do it, you won’t regret it.

I decided that after many years of wearing clumsy , strong prescription glasses it was time to get rid. After a lot of research, I contacted My Eye Clinic as their reviews were excellent and were very local to boot. All of the staff are very friendly, professional and very experienced making the journey so easy. I needed to have my lens replaced as my eyes were so far gone ( cataract surgery) and the thought of having surgery on your eyes is very daunting, however, Mr Ghosh ( my surgeon) is really calming and goes through everything so nothing will happen that hasn’t been explained to you, even post op anything you experience will come of no surprise to them. All in all I chose well with My Eye Clinic and would strongly recommend them if you are thinking of enhancing your life like I did.
