Waking up at 6:30 a.m. is not exactly my idea of fun 😅 — it’s a daily challenge — but I’ve been going religiously, and that alone says a lot about this place.I used to be a bodybuilder years ago, but due to personal and health issues, I had to stop training. I spent over 7 years without setting foot in a gym. Gym environments became huge triggers for me — I would freeze, completely shut down. Watching my body change (and not for the better), menopause knocking at the door, and hormones messing with my head pushed me to make a decision: I needed to face my fears.I invited my husband to go with me to the gym’s reopening, and it was the best decision. We were warmly welcomed by everyone. The people who train here are genuinely kind and supportive, and the atmosphere is familiar, human, and nothing like the gyms I trained at in the past.I had never done CrossFit before. Let’s be honest — bodybuilders can be pretty judgmental 🙈I’m so glad I took the risk, because I absolutely love it. Yes, I’m sore in muscles I didn’t even know existed 😂, but that’s part of the journey.Dylan, the coach, is basically a general with me — he does NOT go easy (LOL), but he believes in me even when I doubt myself. I am completely out of shape, but this review is after one month training 3 times a week, and I already see shy little muscles starting to show 🥹💪Aerial is the sweetest, and Fran — wow. Our nutrition sessions feel like group therapy. Everyone shares vulnerabilities, struggles, and wins. We celebrate every small victory together, and that feeling of “we’re all in this together” is powerful, motivating, and incredibly encouraging. If you’re reading this and feeling unsure: come check it out.Take a trial class.Your energy changes. Your mood changes. Your mindset changes. They say we are the sum of the five people we spend the most time with. If you surround yourself with five unmotivated people, you become the sixth. But if you’re around five driven, positive, growth-minded people… well, you become the sixth. And this place is full of them — good vibes, supportive, real people.PS: You will hate waking up early. You will hate walking in and staring at that whiteboard full of exercises (real hate LOL). But the feeling you get when you finish a workout is indescribable — pride, joy, and the deep satisfaction of knowing you did it.I’m not upside down yet.I don’t climb ropes.I’m still at the basics. But I’ve already broken personal records after more than 7 years sitting on the couch in front of the TV.Come join the team.I’d love to meet you.Big hug,Ju 🤍(I’m Brazilian — and Brazilians love hugs LOL)
