I genuinely appreciate the attention to detail in ensuring that I’m performing the correct movements. The gym community is incredibly supportive and filled with fantastic individuals.It all started when I attended a free class at Raincity. I was instantly hooked! I’ve been a loyal member of Raincity Athletics for almost a year now. I primarily attend their Functional Body program on Wednesdays as it balance my regular gym strength regime and force me to do some workouts I didn’t know my body needed (feel the soreness there)I would recommend trying out if you’re looking for a place the get motivated! Incredible place. It has been over a year since I joined with my partner who had limited gym experience. We both immediately felt welcome. The programming is always thoughtful and intentional. There are clear goals to work towards, yet always adaptable to whatever your skill level is, wherever you are at that day. They have coached me through my first muscle-ups, but more importantly they maintain safety as a priority. I love that flexibility and mobility are seamlessly incorporated into the programming. The coaches are friendly, clear and push you just enough to grow. They have created a fun, friendly and inclusive environment where people can get to know each other inside and outside of the gym. Raincity is just the absolute gold standard in fitness training. The facility is enormous, impeccably clean and has all the best toys. The instructors are impossibly generous and kind; down to earth super heroes. The community is incredibly supportive and fun. There are dogs there. Sometimes there is a TORTOISE. The music is FANTASTIC. And any imagined fitness goal or dream you have the coaches will get you there. GOATS all. Less

Great gym with well educated coaches. As a physio, I'm a huge fan of the fact that they require new athletes to go through an orientation session to make sure that they understand the various movement patterns before joining a class. Plus, the coaches have a variety of cuing strategies to help different learning styles. Less

It was a bit nerve racking looking for a gym that was closer to home after spending over a decade at my former gym in Richmond. I'm no stranger to crossfit/functional fitness world having visited boxes around the world. One year after joining Raincity Athletics, I am so happy to say that this is such a great supportive gym business! Hats off to Simon and Rebecca for running a solid ship! ALL the coaches do such a phenomenal job of coaching movements, ensuring safety and fostering a sense of community while being totally engaged with their members during class time (you wont's see bored coaches scrolling on their phone). The fitness programming has kept my body safe and free of major injuries! Whether you are an experienced athlete or completely new to fitness, the community and the coaches are committed to your wellness. I cannot recommend Raincity Athletics enough! PS - this gym is also pet friendly!!! The gym mascot is a giant diaper wearing tortoise named Pong! No better way to end off a workout with happy dogs waiting for you at the back! Less

I have to say, I was quite unsure of what gym to join in Vancouver. When I finally walked into raincity athletics, everyone was incredibly welcoming. I was at my old gym before moving downtown for a long time, so I was really looking for somewhere where I got a blend of competing, but a friendly atmosphere and I found that at Raincity. Rebecca and Simon have done a great job training their coaches - I haven’t come across a group of coaches that talk about everything in detail like the coaches at raincity, and that are engaged throughout the entire class. It’s truly an awesome place, and I would definitely sign up here if you are looking for a place to train! Less

If you're looking for a gym community that feels like 'home' this is it. I joined RA one year ago, and I'm so glad I did. Previous to this, I was at the same FF gym for 7 years, so was very nervous about starting at a new one with all new people. It did take a few weeks to start getting comfortable talking with people there, but I think that's normal. Over time, you get to know the members and everyone is so chatty and fun. Additionally, the coaches and owner are SO good at explaining movements, making chat, and helping you feel comfortable when you're new. All workouts have options for every level of experience and everything can be modified. Take advantage of the free trial if you're on the fence - I promise it's worth it. Less

A small gym with a big heart. I loved it that in my first few weeks at Raincity, not only did coaches make sure to introduce themselves to me but I had existing members make an effort to make me feel welcomed as well. It was a great first impression. I’m not new anymore but I am still impressed. I’m impressed with the variety and depth of programming where in any given week I can hit hard workouts as well as be kind to my body with strength, conditioning and mobility work. Thank you RC Less

Honestly a fantastic community to be a member of (since summer 2022). The cross-section of people at Raincity is diverse and welcoming. The camaraderie between members, regardless of experience, is excellent and the coaches are fun and engaging. I would highly recommend this place! Less

Raincity is an excellent place for everyone. Here you will find a wide range of different workouts: functional/cardio, CrossFit-related types, and Olympic lifting. During each training, you are motivated to improve your technique and learn new movements, so you always feel a progress. My name is Joe Currie I’ve been going to this gym since Feb 2021 (I think) I love my gym I would highly recommend this gym for all levels of fitness and skill! They have something for every one. the programming and coaches have helped me and continue to help me reach my goals and then some. The community and coaches are super friendly and helpful and there’s even a turtle named pong that is there occasionally. Couldn’t ask for much more from a gym. Less
