Had a lovely valentine's weekend away. The hosts were fantastic. On arrival we were given an upgrade to the best room which had a sea view. The super king size bed was firm and comfy so much so we almost missed check out 😄 thank you for a lovely quiet weekend

A last minute booking which was great value for money. We had a comfortable room with a lovely sea view. The hotel is tired but full of old fashioned charm. Elaine made us feel very welcome and worked hard to ensure that the guests enjoyed their stay. Cathy the owner was very friendly and a talented pianist, we loved hearing her play. We look forward to visiting again soon.

The hotel is in an ideal position, being about 150 yards from the seafront, but in a quiet area. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Breakfast was ok, continental unless you wanted something cooked, which we did, and the scrambled egg was very nice. While the hotel is "tired" and in need of updating, that couldn't be said about the manager, Elaine. What a delightful, friendly and helpful lady she is. Nothing was too much trouble. She even got down on her hands and knees to cut off a loose piece of sump guard on my car, as I couldn't manage it!! She's a real pocket rocket. I understand that the owner is recovering from a health problem. I can assure her that the hotel is in very capable hands with Elaine in charge.

Fab friendly hosts .. Cathy the owner is lovely. Excellent value for money. Comfy bed and clean crisp bedding. Decor a little tired but it's a work in progress and it was clean, so no complaints whatsoever. Next time we're in Devon we will definitely book again.

😀 - Lovely friendly welcome, good value for money, great location with parking. Very basic but clean, some much needed renovations underway. Plenty of coffee and toast for breakfast. 10 minute walk from railway station/5 minutes from seafront. 😞 - .
