Tussock Sedge Farm

I have tried other grass fed and grass finished beef and NOTHING compares to Tussock Sedge Farm. I had the pleasure of speaking with Sean (Co Owner) and he took the time to explain everything to me. I have made purchases in the past and have tried other "Mail Order" farms and you can really tell the difference. Many of the other farms process their cattle at 22 months while Tussock Sedge Farms goes that extra step and raises them to true maturity of 36-42 months. You can tell the difference in color, marbling and taste. I just made another recent smaller beef box purchase, however, I will be ordering a 1/4 cow share from them very shortly. This is the only TRUE grass fed and finished farm that takes the time needed to raise the cows to their full potential while in turn, delivering truly nutrient dense beef to the consumer. While this may come at a cost, I know that I am eating the best of the best. Sure, you can go to Aldi and box stores and get cheaper beef, however, you will never know where that meat has come from. The labeling in the United States should be illegal. You can buy meat that was raised in a foreign country and shipped here and as long as it was packaged here, it now "Magically" turns into a "Product of the United States". To me, the consumer, this is not only misleading, it is disgusting. Do yourself and your family a favor. Buy your meat where it is born, raised and sold right here in the United States, and that is Tussock Sedge Farm. I promise you, there is no better product in this area. They have so many other great offerings to explore also. Right now, I have a 5lb Pasture raised Heritage Chicken defrosting in my refrigerator. I can't wait for it to defrost. THANK YOU Tussock Sedge Farm for raising meat the right way and proper way so I can feed my family true quality. If you have not tried them yet, take the time to try a smaller box. WARNING, once you do this, there is no turning back!!! Also to note, buying in bulk makes the per pound cost even better. On top of that, you are buying meat at todays prices. Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend them.
