When I mentioned to my retina specialist that I had selected Dr Hamilton as my surgeon, he reaffirmed what I had already found to be true; Dr Hamilton is one of the best eye surgeons in the country. Dr Hamilton and his staff took extra time explaining every single detail so that I always felt completely informed. I was surprised at the amount of time that they gave me answering my questions and explaining my options. His office is well equipped with new technology and ultimately he recommended that I wait a few weeks until a new product was released that he felt would make me very happy with the results. I had LASIK about a year ago and just completed my final check-up, so I wanted to share a long-term update.My vision ended up at 20/15 in one eye and closer to 20/10 in the other, and it’s been stable. The entire process from consultation to surgery to follow-ups felt very thorough and well organized, and I always felt comfortable asking questions.Recovery was smooth for me, and I didn’t experience ongoing dryness, which I know can be a concern for some people.Overall, I’m really happy with the result and glad I did it. My situation was delicate because I had a previous RK surgery on the same eye, and the healing took longer than typical. Dr. Hamilton explained the whole process clearly from the beginning, and did an excellent job. He is also personable and kind, which matters a lot to me. The office is calm and nice and was never crowded. This matters too because it made the whole experience easier and more comfortable.
