Trust the science and statistics and ignore the horror stories about laser eye surgery which are a very rare statistical outlier. Dr Hamilton is a very professional and good doctor and my results were great. There’s no pressure to sign and you can read all the fine print before putting money down. 10/10 experience. Or should I say 20/10 cuz that’s the vision I got?? (It’s better than 20/20)Jokes aside I’ll see how the results hold up over the long term.

I got SMILE a few months ago and I'm really happy with my results! I had a very high prescription before surgery and being able to see without glasses/contacts now is completely life-changing. Dr. Hamilton and his team were great. The surgery itself was very easy, I think my whole procedure lasted less than 10 minutes, and the recovery was quick and easy too. I was able to drive again a few days after surgery, though it did take a couple months for my vision to fully sharpen. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Hamilton and the SMILE procedure in particular!

It’s been three months since my LASIK with Dr. Hamilton, and I couldn’t be happier with my vision. He and his entire team were incredibly thorough, communicative, and attentive throughout the process, which made me feel confident and well cared for from start to finish. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner!I originally came to Dr. Hamilton through a friend’s recommendation, and I’ve already found myself recommending him to others whenever I talk about my experience. I highly recommend Dr. Hamilton and all the staff at Hamilton Eye Institute. I have a lot to say about my eye surgery journey so buckle up if you want to read it all!Context: I have amblyopia with one eye at -7 with astigmatism and was initially hoping to do SMILE. I wanted to get a lot of opinions, so I visited 5 different eye clinics to assess the best procedure and find an ophthalmologist I could trust. While every place landed on the same conclusion that EVO ICL was the best option for my case, I had very mixed experiences before going to Dr. H. Some made me feel rushed and didn’t spend much time evaluating my eye at all before asking me to pay a deposit to lock in a quote, and I didn’t even see the ophthalmologist. Another place told me my eye had gotten as bad as -8.5, which meant for them I required a more expensive implant, AND adding on sedation was another $500. At this point I still wasn’t convinced SMILE wouldn’t work for me because no one explained WHY. Dr. Manche at Stanford did explain why SMILE wasn’t a good fit for me, but he only does laser eye surgery, not EVO ICL.Finally, Dr. Hamilton personally assessed my eye and explained to me while showing me my eye images and all the test results. It’s extremely comforting to be able to talk to the expert himself and get all my questions answered. I was also concerned that my AC depth was too low for ICL (2.9), but he reassured me I was within the safe range. What really made me sure about Dr. Hamilton, however, was the fact that he is the only doctor that took the time to get my exact updated prescription during the consultation (yes it ended up still being -7). And Hamilton Eye has a flat rate, given upfront with no hidden fees, no deposit-to-lock-in-a-quote, and includes everything that the other clinic was charging extra for (including sedation). My eyes were having trouble focusing during the pre-op so they had me come in another day to double check before my surgery at no extra cost.I really appreciate the attention to detail, expertise, and quality of care by all the staff here. It’s really been a pleasure being their patient. Plus, I’m currently 3-days post-surgery and the vision in my bad eye is already more clear than I was expecting!!

I came from out of town to get SMILE done after seeing other reviews and am so happy I did! Dr Hamilton and Myra and staff were so sweet and walked me through every step of the way. They also accommodated my short stay in California so that I could have the pre-op, operation, and post-op all done within the several days I was there. The actual procedure also went by so smoothly and fast , I felt no discomfort the entire 10-15 mins. I am ecstatic at not having to wear contacts ever again and it's all thanks to the wonderful team here!! Highly recommend coming here for Lasik or SMILE, absolutely worth it! Thank you!!

From start to finish, Dr Hamilton was amazing! Explained all options and possible outcomes on the front end and then made the actual cataract surgeries painless and stress free. I went in cautiously optimistic with the final results beyond every expectation. The PureSee IOL has given me clear, sharp vision. I wish I had done this sooner. Thank you Dr Hamilton!!

Did SMILE and procedure is very easy with fast recovery without any pain during or after the surgery and Dr. Hamilton and all his friendly staff definitely know what they are doing and give you all the info you need before, during, and afrer. Highly recommend!

Can’t speak Kylie enough of Rex in his team. I had the Smile procedure took me under five minutes in and out barely any recovery time I was able to start working that same day and I now completely have perfect vision so amazing team.
