This cleaning service fell well below professional standards. Nothing close to what they claim. The cleaners arrived late and, once on site, worked slowly and inefficiently. Basic tasks that are standard for any professional cleaning—such as changing bed sheets, emptying trash, drying bathrooms, and completing a thorough kitchen clean—were either missed or required repeated direction. They were unwilling to even change sheets at first and said it wasn’t included in their time! First time I ever heard that in all my years of getting cleaning done. Nothing requested was “extra”; all expectations were consistent with a normal cleaning service. The work allocation was poorly managed. One cleaner handled most of the actual cleaning while the other focused on minor tasks, rather than both working together on high-effort areas like bathrooms to complete the job efficiently. As a result, the service took significantly longer than reasonable for a home of this size.Despite being provided with full property details in advance, the company failed to staff or time the job appropriately. Slow or inefficient cleaners and inaccurate time estimates are operational issues that should not be passed on to the customer which is what happened here. They inaccurately timed the job and then made me feel like they are doing me a favor for the extra time put in.The quality of the cleaning itself was inconsistent and incomplete. Trash was left behind, bathrooms were not properly finished and dried, and the overall result did not meet the standard of a professional clean. I had to supervise and prompt throughout the service, which defeats the purpose of hiring professionals. In addition, the pricing and communication were completely misleading. The service was marketed as a flat-rate cleaning when I spoke to Ben the first time, yet time tracking and incremental charges were introduced later by Vereity which showed inconsistency and unprofessionalismMore concerning, the cleaners damaged my food crusher in the kitchen during the cleaning. Despite clear evidence that the damage occurred during the service, the company refused to take responsibility or offer compensation. As a result, I am now forced to bear the cost of repairing damage caused directly by the cleaners.Given the lateness, inefficiency, incomplete cleaning, misleading pricing structure, property damage, and refusal to take accountability, Thrive should be grateful I even paid for the sloppy service. Working with Verity was not pleasant. First she inaccurately estimates time, then she constantly kept reminding of extra charges if cleaning went over an hour and a half. All she seemed interested in was trying to get extra money out from the service vs focusing on trying to make a new customer feel comfortable and satisfied. DO NOT recommend them at all!
