We've been attending various workshops and offering from Rick over the last 5 years. We have 2 sons now 10yo and 8yo but started taking part In Ricks world when they were 5yo and 3yo. We saw the gap in our modern society and instantly knew that what Rick offers and teaches is so valuable in a boys childhood. My young daughter and I recently participated in a two night camping trip with Rick. It was one of the best weekends that both of us have had in a really long time. Grounded Women July 2024 - Empowering Wilderness Adventure for Women As a woman seeking to embrace the wild and test and hone my bushcraft and survival skills, I embarked on a 4 day event with Rick Peterson's “Grounded Women” bushcraft and survival skills course. The experience was empowering and enlightening, as Rick's wealth of wisdom and expertise guided us through valuable skills and practical applications in the heart of nature. It was an opportunity to meet a group of likeminded adventurous women, all eager to challenge themselves and connect with the wilderness. It was also possible to tailor your own learning journey to your individual needs and desires. We all had different skills we wanted to explore and expand and Rick’s program allowed that. Together, we learned to prioritise survival needs, build shelters, start fires, recognise local bush edibles, and navigate the terrain by stars and other natural clues with confidence. There were also some surprises thrown in we weren’t expecting! Rick's mentorship and guidance were invaluable, offering not just technical know-how but also great campfire stories instilling a deep sense of respect and appreciation for country. His teachings were as enriching as they were practical, empowering us to test our skills and embrace the unknown with courage and curiosity. I left the course feeling not just more skilled in new survival techniques but inspired to explore more of Australia and to take new opportunities to keep testing what I’ve learned.
