My son got accepted to BU as ED but received no Financial award for COA @$90K. I decided to use College Aid Pro consultation for 1hr and Josh explained the situation that there was mistake on the way I filled out the FAFSA and CSS. I've done a number of webinars on the college application/financial process. The guys at College Aid Pro are by far the most knowledgeable and have the clearest presentation skills. It's well worth investing in their My CAP software. Easy to use, tons of information. UPDATE - I wish I could give College Aid Pro 7 stars. I hired Matt Carpenter and team to get us through FAFSA and financial aid. I thought the value they would bring would be negotiating a good financial aid package with a private college. I assumed if my son went to a State school, we get a minimal financial aid package. My son was accepted to and decided to enroll at UMass Amherst. Well, the financial aid letter came in last night. Some information would have been better had I known it before my daughter starting her Senior year as we applied early to the 2 colleges of her choice. I did the boot camp sessions and appreciated the information greatly as this is my first time dealing with college applications. There was repetition, however, that was OK because if you watching just one or two, it gave some background. What I really liked was getting the presentations emailed afterwards so we can reference them if needed. Less
