I truly don’t think I could’ve been an effective caregiver for my sweet husband had I not had the full support of Horizon Hospice for over a year. Our CNAs, Toni & Emma, our RN, Wendy, our social worker, JoEllen and our chaplain, Tom were with us all the way each and every week. The staff that was on call for emergencies were prompt and experts in what we needed. Most importantly, their compassion was comforting and reassuring. My sweet husband passed during the middle of the night and Cassie was there quickly to process him for the funeral home. I never felt alone and knew the team assigned to us was always just a call away. It was a privilege to experience such professionalism and compassion from such wonderful folks during our journey. Knowing that I will have their continued support for the next year is also comforting. I really appreciated the time with Ana during our Aftercare conversation helping me deal with all the issues, forms & death notifications necessary during this time. Having someone advise, review & assist me gives me confidence that I am on the right path to closing out my husband’s affairs.
