I would most definitely recommend Essex Coast Physio for first class diagnosis and treatment by a professional, friendly team of Physiotherapists who are also supported by equally professional and friendly reception personnel. They have all been amazing and so supportive of me these past few months.I had the good fortune to use their Ultrasound service last December. It was an absolute game changer regarding my diagnosis. It was able to show what wasn't causing the pain, therefore ruling that out but also discovered what was and therefore could tailor my treatment more accurately. Unlike an X-ray, which only shows skeletal structure, the Ultrasound showed which soft tissues were inflamed and causing my ongoing pain.Sheila carried out the Ultrasound explaining, as she proceeded, exactly what she was doing, all the time ensuring that I was okay. I found it a painless procedure carried out by a consummate professional. The results from my scan were e-mailed to me within 48 hours. Can't recommend their Ultrasound service highly enough.Everyone at Essex Coast Physio are so welcoming and friendly. I consider myself very fortunate to be part of the Essex Coast Physio 'family' so to speak. They are always there for me, supporting me throughout, both physically and mentally. Have been visiting this practice since Feb 26, whole experience, pleasant and calming from reception onwards. Very helpful when I had difficulty finding the practice. I was only feet away !Have seen Sheila Odonohue on numerous occasions, clear explanation of physical problems. Clear instructions how to do exercises. I do need small adjustments to aid understanding.Also had a problem with my knee, on examination, U S scan was recommend, this was completed, again clear information, some minimal discomfort during this. But this has given a clearer view of the problem. Ongoing treatment continues for both problems. I feel involved and empowered to continue.

To say I was apprehensive about my appointment with Essex Coast Physio, is an understatement. I had never received physio and I was feeling quite vulnerable and self-conscious but I needn't have worried as everyone was so kind. As I hobbled in, the receptionist was truly welcoming, with a big smile and the offer of a cup of tea! She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Taylor (the physiotherapist) was very supportive, knowledgeable and reassuring. I went for a consultation about my shoulder impingement. Both Ben and Taylor were excellent, giving me clear and detailed explanations of the condition. Taylor has been working with me on the problem and has been a major asset every step of the way. The practice has been brilliant and I cannot recommend them enough. I recently finished a 6 week course of physio with Taylor for ongoing knee problems.I can’t express how amazing my treatment was with Taylor the care & advice he gave to help me continue my recovery at home was the best I’ve received in any physio practice. I saw Ben Croxford at Essex Coast Physio who started off very informative, polite and friendly until I mentioned that I wanted to think about everything that he had told me, also that I have a hospital appointment with Rheumatology department nxt week and wanted to hear what they had to say, Ben then turned very frosty and said "so you want your cake and eat it". Although I think this company has a lot to offer and I think I will go back for treatment a bit less pushy to get a financial commitment may benefit Essex Coast Physio.

On my first visit with Shelia I felt at ease. After years of knee pain she very quickly identified two exercises to help strengthen the area around my knee. After a week I can feel the improvement. This is encouraging me to keep up the exercises as it helps reduce the pain. I can’t wait for week 2.

I was due to drive up to North Yorkshire on holiday on the following day but I developed muscle spasms and so much pain in one of my legs that I could barely walk on it. I contacted Essex Coast Physio and they had a cancelllation so fitted me in. The physio was very understanding and gentle and explained what my problem was . He massaged and manipulated my leg and explained he just wanted to enable me to usemyleg the next day. He advised me what pain relief to use too.By the next morning, I was able to use my leg and drive as planned. Brilliant service 😁🙂

I recently visited Essex Coast Physios after a recommendation from my father. I had lower back pain following an injury at work and booked a free initial consultation with Taylor. From the moment I stepped through the doors and spoke to Maria the receptionist I felt at ease and like I was in safe hands. Taylor ,my physiotherapist ,conducted an assessment and treatment giving a full explanation of his diagnosis in an easily understandable manner. He then contacted my GP on my behalf to arrange an x-ray and I was asked to contact him by email to update on my progress. I was also supplied with a letter for my employer for workplace adjustments. I cannot recommend the staff at Essex Coast Physios highly enough and would definitely use their services again if needed in the future.

Having been let down on numerous occasions by the NHS i reached out to Essex Coast Physio and from the off they have been the definition of professionalism and their treatment of my situation has been incredible. Thanks to the ongoing work of Sheila, who has been exceptional throughout, the range in my shoulder has vastly improved, the picture is an overlay of where my shoulder was to where it is now and the improved range and strength has been remarkable.I cant recommend them highly enough and im looking forward to their new premises opening as it around the corner from where i live.
