I chose Maggie's for my birthday dinner. We were seated in a back room, which I was glad of - not noisy and not crowded.We started with the bruschetta shareable, which was quite good. Soups were also tasty, especially the stuffed pepper soup. My husband's cream of crab soup was flavorful, but the flour hadn't been fully cooked out.Entrees were less successful. My husband said his crab cakes had more filler than crab. The Spanish rice was completely free of flavor. Not even salt, let alone tomato, peppers or Latin spices.I had pesto tortellini, one of the September specials. I somehow missed that it was served in a bread bowl! The tortellini was good, but the bread bowl was superfluous. (It'd be a great vessel for chili, though.)We shared the lava cake, which was enjoyable.Service was very attentive - almost too much so. Only a few minutes after our bruschetta arrived, so did our soups. A few spoonfuls later, the server brought our entrees. It felt rushed. At the same time, the two people serving our table were friendly and polite, making it a pleasant evening.

We celebrated a milestone birthday here and sat outside under the overhang, overlooking the Delaware River. We shared some of the best fish and chips we've had along with some really excellent cocktails. Jackie our service was terrific. We will definitely return, especially to try their Happy Hour.

I was with a group of 10+ on 9/25/26, for my mom's birthday. She recently had 2 strokes and had a recent cancer diagnosis. She gets around ok but can get confused easily.We had a phenominal waiter named Chris. I was not only impressed by his service, but his professional attitude. He held the highest standard of respect toward our group and my mom. He was patient as my mom selected her items and he gave her space instead of standing over her waiting. He worked with me in ensuring he choices were safe for her. This meant more than any other type of table service a waiter could offer.Thank you, Maggies Cafe, for having respectful and professional staff such as Chris. We appreciate him going above and beyond the typical wait staff service. I highly recommend this place to anyone. And if you go...ask for Chris!
