I typically ran 2 half-marathons a year and a bunch of 5ks. However, I had to stop running the last couple of years because I developed Achilles and calf pain. I tried to “self-treat” by watching YouTube videos which did not significantly help. I then saw an ad to do a running analysis with Dr. Kranz and decided to try it. It was incredible. Using specialized software, Dr. Kranz analyzed my running on a treadmill. She then showed gate, cadence and form issues likely causing my pain. For instance, I was sometimes brushing my feet together and occasionally heel striking which I never realized I was doing. After Dr. Kranz set up a plan to address my specific issues, I began weekly sessions at her facility followed by at home exercises she emailed me. This made it very convenient to maintain my progress in between sessions (as we all know work and life can get in the way). I was very impressed with the one on one sessions. Dr. Kranz was very attentive and clearly knows her stuff. The exercises she gave me were perfectly targeted for my specific weaknesses and issues. I have noticed incredible improvement in just a few weeks and have already moved up to running two 5k’s a week with almost no discomfort. With a few more in-person sessions and targeted at home exercises from Dr. Kranz, I’m confident I’ll be able to start running half marathons again. I cannot recommend Ageless Agility and Dr. Kranz enough. She has an incredible amount of experience and seems to truly have a passion for her patients and getting them back to their peak physical condition.
