We were having two issues, one was that our heat pump wasn't heating and the other was that the pilot assembly in our fireplace needed to be replaced.The tech spent four hours here, the first while he was trying to fix the pilot assembly (which I had said when I called and when he arrived had to be replaced, I informed them that this was based on another HVAC companies assessment). He wasn't able to fix it, as suspected, it has to be replaced, so he charged us almost $200 to look at it even know I was pretty clear it had to be replaced.On to the heat pump, which he did fix, however he said the fix was a setting on the thermostat, which is something I had tried changing before multiple times to troubleshoot so I'm not sure why it worked for him but I'm happy it's fixed. He charged us almost $300 for that though which seems excessive.I called capital heating and cooling because they were well rated and their office is located close to our home, but overall not a great experience and not good value for money.

We recently purchased a new hot water heater and furnace from Capital City Heating and Cooling. Our previous hot water tank had a leak, so we urgently needed to restore our hot water ASAP. We called in the afternoon and Evan came out the same day, provided information and quotes, and arranged for a new tank to be installed the next morning. We were beyond grateful for the exceptional and professional service (and to be able to have a nice warm shower). We had the new furnace installed a few days later as it was not urgent. The scheduling and communication from the entire team was excellent. The technicians were very knowledgeable and efficient, explained everything, and made it very pleasant and stress free. Evan followed the entire process ensuring we were completely satisfied. We highly recommend Capital City Heating and Cooling and cannot thank them enough – they are amazing!
