This is a great book but when it arrived, the pages inside were for the “I have angels book” instead. I needed the male version.I was issued a gift card by Amazon without returning the item, as a once off. The reason for this is because the item is defective and can’t be resold. I was happy with the customer service to resolve the issue. I’m uploading this so others can be mindful and also as proof of the defect and inability for the product to be resold. I have an Angel is so tender and warm.From the moment I unwrapped the book, I fell in love with the delicate colour palette and sweet illustrations.The little bear character is so relatable to children, and I especially love the blue bird, symbolic of the eternal connection we have with our loved ones. The narrative is a cautionary tale about sun safety. It is a really clever concept of Shawn the Prawn falling asleep on the beach in the sun and becoming sunburnt. The use of rhyme is terrific and consistent throughout and the illustrations add to the story's meaning. Highly recommend this as a read aloud in the early years and also to teach about sun safety.
