It was our last day in Maui and we were hungry after walking around at The Shops in Wailea. There were no restaurants nearby that seemed good.Fortunately, we found Tagpuan and we were in the mood for Filipino food! We ordered pork sisig, crispy belly, grilled belly, siomai, lumpia and halo halo for dessert.Everything was delicious! If we lived in Maui, we would definitely be repeat customers. It is a food truck with sitting located in the parking lot of a car audio system installer.Their daughter came to play with our 9 month old and she was full of energy 😁. BEST FILIPINO FOOD ON THE ISLAND!During my 1 week stay at Maui I probably came here about 5 times. I went here right after getting off the airport to get some quick comfort food before checking in to my stay in Kīhei and Tagpuan happened to be on the way. I ordered the chicken Inasal and pork lumpia and from those two simple dishes I could tell that this place was legit. IMO that inasal's definitely better than Mang Inasal back in PI and much better than the Inasal I've had in the Bay Area so hopefully that hypes it up enough. Kept coming back almost every single day till I left to go back to the mainland. In that time I also had the grilled liempo (pork belly), crispy pork belly, and longanisa sliders - all excellent dishes. Really love the sauce selections they use for their dishes too - pretty good balance of acid to cut the fat making the dishes feel not too heavy.The food truck is currently nestled in what seems to be an auto shop lot. There's a nice clean bathroom access via the auto shop near the food truck itself. Lots of parking, a few benches to eat at, and of course, really good food. The couple that run Tagpuan are incredibly kind and hard working people. Would highly recommend - not only to support a local business owner (who's from Lāhainā) but because they serve genuinely good and authentic Filipino food.

We ordered Sisig, Barbeque, Chicken Inasal, eggrolls, inihaw pork belly , crispy pork belly and of course their halo halo. Everything is excellent. Owner is very kind and friendly

After visiting the Iao Valley State Monument, we found this amazing Tagpuan food truck on our drive back! During our stay in Maui, we chose to try out many food trucks throughout the island. And I want to say this is one of the best ones. The location and eating area may not be the nicest, but clean enough. The service was also great, very friendly and helpful!The food that we ordered are excellent in taste and good quantity for the price! We got the Grilled Pork Belly, Crispy Pork Belly, and a side of Sisig Dynamite Lumpia and they are all excellent! We recommend eating the Crispy Pork Belly and Dynamite Lumpia immediately on site otherwise they will lose their crispiness when taken back to the hotel.We also tried the Halo Halo desserts and it tasted quite good, but not in the same quality level as other excellent Halo Halo we had in other Filipino restaurants. But this being a food truck, maybe not fair to compare against fully equipped restaurants.Next time we visit this area, we will definitely come back!

My husband and I were looking for a Filipino place for lunch and found Tagpuan! Wonderful food and the lady working was very kind. The food took a while but I could tell it was made with lots of love! The food was fresh and hot and reminded me of my mom’s cooking. There was outdoor seating, some were shaded. If you’re ever in the area, check this place out! 🤍
