Not what I expected in the best way possible. Was in town for 2 days this week. Played 9 holes on Wednesday expecting an average municipal course. Checking in we were asked if we played here before. No. So out to the deck for a quick course tutorial. The course looked beautiful from up there. After 9 holes we knew we had to come back for the back 9. They were very accommodating about this and if we thought the front 9 was wonderful the back was even better playing by the river with some big elevation changes.Details-the course was in really good condition, greens fairly large with undulations. At times I felt like I was driving up and down Pikes Peak. All holes are great but #9 really goes around to the left. Fun. Not like a dogleg, I mean around to the left. At one point you see the green on #17 thinking it must be a par three. The next day we found out otherwise. If you want to shoot par do not be long and do not be short on your tee shot. It is definitely not a par three.Staff were wonderful, price was great, conditions were excellent. Living in Minneapolis I would definitely drive the 2 hours to play again next year.
