My son (6) has recently started and loves it! His coordination and confidence has grown rapidly. The instructors are kind and knowledgeable and take their time explaining and showing each thing.We have been very happy and my son can’t wait for classes every week.

My 5 year was very VERY reluctant to do any of the moves on his first day. He was very anxious and nervous and now we are on week 3 and he has made a complete turn around and I have the coaches to thank for their patience and persistence! He loves going and was bummed we will be missing classes all week due to being away.Definitely a fun class for the kids and I like how there’s a mix of ages.

Did a session tonight with Heather, Rachel, and Jen leading our Towson Women’s Lacrosse players and staff through self-defense fundamentals and it was an engaging, informative and absolutely empowering hour together. The girls certainly will feel more confident and strong in the future! We are so grateful for the experience!

I visited Hereford BJJ when I was in town to see family, and came to a nogi class and an open mat. Good mat space, clean, etc. I worked with Richard in class, and rolled with him again at the open mat, and I felt super comfortable and safe, as a visiting white belt. I used something he and Tom taught me a few days later actually, and that was really fun for me! Thanks for hosting me!

This has been one of the best activities I have done in a long time! From the first time I came to see a class, I have found this group to be welcoming, patient with the learning experience and have left each time pumped to come to the next class. I have learned a lot in a short time. And I truly appreciate how accepting this group has been! I did not have much experience and am an older woman. I have found that does not matter in the least. If you have any interest at all I recommend giving this a try. The people are terrific; I cannot say that enough. The instructors and students are friendly, fun and enthusiastic. And this is such a great sport to learn! There’s nothing like learning something new and making new friends along the way!
