New service performed 4/17/2024 AAP Home Services again gave me quality service at a reasonable price. My 60 year old home had a severe scale build-up in the shower drain's cast iron pipe that required a complete rebuild of the drain to the sewer tee. Journeyman plumber Michael Alcantar of AAP came out to snake the drain. He first tried to snake from the drain itself, then from the roof, and despite his best efforts, was unsuccessful in clearing the blockage. The scale blockage (which looked like concrete in the drain to me) could not be unblocked. Michael gave me a couple of options to fix the drain which included hydrojetting the line, or drain pipe and shower replacement. As the shower was in bad shape anyway, I opted for the complete drain and shower replacement. While the cost was substantial, I found it to be reasonable given the amount of time and work it took to complete. Michael's work was outstanding, despite it's difficulty. Michael had to jackhammer through the original 60-year old foundation, and dig, dig, dig the old cast iron drain pipe out of the ground and replace it with the new drainpipe. Then he rebuilt the shower stall. This included laying the base of the shower over the now filled in ground where the foundation was jackhammered, and assembling the new fiberglass shower stall. He also had to rebuild the incoming water pipes and do what looked to me like expert carpentry to provide support for the new shower stall. It also required some drywall installation above the newly built shower stall. Finally, a new faucet was installed to complete the task. The job took about three days. I marvel now at the finished product. Michael did have just a bit of help (thanks also to Chris and Alex, as well as Carlos, all of AAP Home Services), but Michael was there during the entire project, and did the majority of the work. I would say that he completed the job, mostly by himself. I could tell that Michael takes great pride in his work. He worked hard throughout each day he was at my home, and even stayed very late on the last day as the project was nearly finished At the end of the job, Michael took the time and effort to clean up thoroughly, and my bathroom looked wonderful again. Michael's retrofit work on my shower to fix the drain which was just not draining properly, was done expertly and as quickly as possible. This is the fourth major plumbing job I have had done on my 60 year old home by AAP Home Services. They always solve my plumbing issues with a minimum of fuss and at very reasonable prices. I will always call AAP Home Services when I have plumbing issues at my home. We had a standing pool of water in our backyard. I figured it was a sprinkler pipe that broke. I called a plumber to fix it. They ran tests & said it’s not coming from my house. We checked my neighbors house & the plumber told me it wasn’t coming from there either. He consulted with his colleagues. They couldn’t figure it out & suggested it might be from the pool in my neighbors yard behind me. I called American Leak Detection who specializes in leaks. They basically did the same thing and suggested it was the pool. We were planning to do a leak test on the pool. Before spending hundreds more my wife & I decided to do some testing of our own. We figured out what pipe it was but were not sure exactly where the leak was. I called AAP to figure it out & hopefully get it fixed. In less then an hour they had a pretty good idea where it was. They found the leak within a couple feet & fixed it. We are very grateful AAP solved the problem. They were great and I highly recommend Steven & Michael.

Our water heater was installed back in 2016 and recently started to fail due to a faulty flammable vapor sensor. Since the unit was a little over 6 years old, we made the decision to replace the entire unit with a tankless water heater - solution was recommended by Elijah A from AAP. He came out our house, inspected the current setup, and was able to put in a work order to install the new one in under 3 days (due to the weekend). Elijah worked tirelessly throughout the day on June 21st, 2022 in our hot garage in almost 100 degree weather, and was able to complete the installation without any issues. He even saved us some money by using the existing venting solution and made minimal cuts in the drywall. Elijah did an amazing job, was extremely friendly, professional, and honest with his recommendations. He went above and beyond and we greatly appreciate his efforts! We would definitely call AAP and ask for Elijah for all future plumbing issues.

This company and the employees who work at AAP are completely AWESOME individuals, from customer service on the phone (Hilary) to the technicians (Steven) who noticed and solved my issues with my water heater, but even then I had to back order parts from whirlpool, and they were very persistent on getting my parts to me in a timely fashion it was truly a A+ experience, for me it's a no brainer if I have a problem in the near future AAP is the one!!
