Southgate Senior Living

My father lived at Southgate for a year, until his recent passing. There was a transition in ownership during that time. There were a few minor glitches having to do with billing, but it all got worked out. The important thing is that my dad was happy there. From the facility director, to the receptionist, to the head nurse, to the chef, to the driver, to the housekeeper, and all the other workers there, everyone was kind and attentive to his needs. When he used the call button, someone came. The facility is clean, smells good, and the food is good. He was able to attend his LDS church meetings right in the facility. During the last week of my dad’s life, there were three of us with him all the time. We were invited to eat in the dining room and often were asked if there was anything we needed. That helped ease those final days. At first, Dad didn’t want to move there, but ended up feeling like it was home.
