I am very fortunate to have found DR. Druz who, besides being a Cardiologist with excellent qualifications & background, has credentials in Functional Medicine. I would describe this as personalized medicine. DR. Druz takes the time to review & re-review, at each visit, your medical record & always does an exam. This is the only Doctor I know who does Genetic Testing to find out if the medications prescribed are compatible with your Genetic profile. Some Genetic tests are covered by insurance. Most importantly she works with you to improve your health. Yes, some supplements are recommended but only the ones most beneficial to me. This is NOT "cookie cutter" medicine. DR. Druz is a Cardiologist but in my opinion, she treats the whole patient & is very knowledgeable. It is almost impossible to find a Functional Medical Practitioner on Long Island & to find someone who is so caring, as DR. Druz is a gift. I just want to say thank you to DR. Druz & her wonderfull Staff.
