Great trip. We walked with the captain from the cruise pier to a nearby pier to board the boat. Crew was very knowledgeable about Bonaire and the reef. The reef was the best snorkeling that we have ever done. There was so much beautiful coral and sea life such as turtle, Barracuda, stingray and so many varieties of smaller fish. Less

The two stop snorkeling tour was an amazing snorkeling experience. Helmer and Larissa were extremely kind and knowledgeable. We've been snorkeling several times in Mexico. This was our first time in Bonaire, and it was the best snorkeling experience we've had, with almost 2 full hours of snorkeling at 2 different locations. Highly recommend. Just make sure to pay the nature fee online before going, as it's not called out on their website that this must be paid online in advance. Less

We had the best time on our snorkelling adventure. The booking process was very easy and reasonable. We did a half-day snorkel trip in early January 2025. Eight individuals ranging from experienced to rookie. It was the highlight of our vacation. Guse and Larissa were everything you would look for-- pleasant, knowledgeable, passionate about the island and snorkeling, and fun!. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Clear instructions for when/where to meet our guide (as we were coming from a cruise ship). It was the company owner who did meet us - Helmer. This was the first private tour we have ever booked while cruising, and this experience made us feel confident in booking a private excursion again. Very professional. 3 hour snorkeling tour, and we had 2 x 45 minute stops to drift snorkel, lots of time, and both crew members (Helmer and our in-water snorkel guide) were helpful throughout. Only 10 people on the tour, so it was very personal. They spent time prior to getting in the water to give us an overview of the place we were snorkeling as well as showing us pictures and giving us descriptions of all the sea life (animals and coral) that we were likely to see while snorkeling. Tour was for all abilities, new snorkelers to seasoned free divers. Provided masks/snorkels and fins for those who needed/wanted them. One guide was in the water with us taking professional photos and making sure everyone was alright, and the boat was available at all times for anyone who wished to get out early. They shared several photos with us before we even disembarked (air dropped them to our devices). Stroopwafels and pop/water provided on our way back to shore. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend anyone heading to Bonaire to book a snorkeling tour with Aqua Fun Bonaire, worth every penny. Less

We hebben een fantastische privé bootduikexcursie achter de rug met Helmer. Helmer heeft zijn uiterste best gedaan om ons de beste ervaring te bezorgen. Iemand van ons gezelschap duikt niet, en daarom was Larissa mee om met hem te snorkelen. Ook heeft hij voor één van ons 15-litertanks geregeld, zodat we lekker een ruim uur konden duiken. En wat hebben we daarvan genoten! Helmer heeft ons meegenomen naar twee prachtige locaties, elk met een eigen karakter. Hij duikt in een prettig tempo, waardoor we een hoop bijzonders hebben gezien. Ook zeeleven dat we zonder gids nooit hadden ontdekt! Ook boven water was alles perfect geregeld. We werden compleet ontzorgd, de boot is fantastisch, we zijn verwend met een hapje en een drankje en Helmer en Larissa hadden als afsluiting nog een passerende loggerhead-schildpad voor ons geregeld! ;-) Helmer en Larissa, bedankt voor dit fantastische avontuur! Amazing excursion! Larissa met us right at the port and Captain Helmer brought the boat right to us and we headed out for the best snorkeling in the Caribbean! It's a small group tour so you get lots of time in the water and we got to see so much! A couple different species of turtles lots of brightly colored fish, and beautiful coral. Our 2 reef snorkel in Klein Bonaire was a great experience. Our diversely experienced group of 8 family members included a few that had never snorkeled before up to experienced divers. He spent sufficient time explaining the equipment, which was high quality & how to have a great experience while protecting the coral of the reef. Bootduiken Wauw!!!! Wauw!!!!! Wauw!!!!!! Wat een gave duik was dat! Eigenlijk zoals deze verwende nesten gewend zijn, maar stiekem denken wij dat het zo hoort. Daniël van Aqua Fun Bonaire, wat een ongelofelijke topper is dat. Bij aankomst vanmorgen, het eerste wat hij vroeg was: zo dames wat zijn jullie wensen voor vandaag? Nou als wij onze gewichten, mogen bepalen zijn wij al gelukkig. Hij: nou dat mogen jullie zeker, en wat willen jullie doen? Diepe duik? Rustige duik? Op de oppervlakte blijven? Snorkelen? Nou ons maakt het niet uit, hij: nou dan neem ik jullie mee naar een prachtig rif, neem jullie mee naar zo een 12 tot 18 meter en op de terug weg zwemmen we rond om te zoeken naar een zeepaardje. Ik: nou dat heb je bij deze beloofd, en er nu niet op terug komen hè…. We moesten allemaal lachen. 😂🤣 Bij vertrek vertelde hij tijdens de rit veel over het eiland, waarom je alleen gediplomeerd moet zijn als je een Lionfish pole spear wilt bedienen. En wat er verder voor speciale plekken er zijn die je als duiker gedaan moet hebben. Het jagen op lionfish mag alleen als je gediplomeerd bent, omdat de duikers hier niet begrijpen dat je geen koraal moet raken, als je probeert een lionfish te raken, kijk, nu begrijp ik het meteen, en jullie denk ik dus ook. Logisch en heel begrijpelijk als je dat weet. Amerikanen hebben vaak 10 dagen vakantie per jaar. Als die op vakantie gaan, duiken ze vaak 3 of 2 duiken per dag. (Dat wisten we al) maar wij zijn meer van gewoon een duik als we daar zin in hebben. We zijn vlak bij klein Bonaire gaan duiken, hij liet ons het strand zien van klein Bonaire, en legde meteen uit, dat het voor ons niets zou zijn, omdat daar geen schaduw is. En je dus de hele dag, in de volle zon bent. De mensen op het strand kon ik niet zien. Wel heel veel fel rode kreeften die op een handdoek lagen. Dat zouden mensen kunnen geweest zijn, wat zullen die lekker slapen vannacht 😂🤣 Net als op Bad Habbits Barbados Fishing & Diving, (boot van Trevor) ga je op de rand zitten. Schuif je kont naar achteren en laat je naar achteren vallen, zo maak je een koprol onder water en kom je meteen weer omhoog. Het water in komen was dus super makkelijk. Ik dacht, eigenlijk gezegd, dat ik nooit meer terug de boot in zou komen. Maar Daniël klom eerst de boot in, en wij lieten onze jasjes in het water, hij trok de jasjes eruit. Zonder een zucht of een geluid dat negatief was. Meteen kregen we een koud drankje aangeboden terwijl hij de boot starten en we terug naar het land vaarden. Volgens mij, zijn we gelukkig geen beginners mee zoals de instructrice eerst dacht. Dus pas goed op, we zijn nu overal te vinden en we zijn overstekende duikers… vandaar dat we dit bord hebben laten maken. 😂🤣 Less

Captain Daniel is an excellent captain and host. He took us to two amazing snorkel spots — Klein Bonaire, and then a drift snorkel ending at Thousand Steps. He was friendly, accommodating and handled my needing some help due to an injury with great compassion & aplomb. He is also very much “in the know” about the best snorkel locations, and helped us to find no fewer than four (!!) turtles, two on each trip. He’s full of interesting facts & info about the surroundings, Bonaire and the sea life you get to observe whilst snorkelling. Will definitely be booking again when next in Bonaire, and highly recommend him and his boat, the Vitamin Sea! Less

Na een relaxt tochtje naar de zoutpier naar een mooie snorkel en duikplek in het Noorden. Echt leuk, super veel vissen en een paar schildpadden gezien. Voor de snorkelaars en de duikers dus super leuk. Met zonsondergang terug naar de haven. Fantastisch gaan we zeker vaker doen. Less
