I highly recommend Dr. Palan at Artisan Dental. I have dental anxiety and knew I was going to need a crown replaced. Our insurance recently switched to Humana, so I searched for a dentist that emphasized more of a medical approach as it seems like many of the dentists in the San Ramon Valley emphasize cosmetic dentistry. I really wanted to find someone who knew what they're doing. I was impressed to see that Artisan Dental can perform root canals and surgeries. In office, the doctor and staff are friendly and welcoming. The space is stylish and the equipment is new. Special touches like relaxing music and a blanket is offered for comfort. I had confidence in Dr. Palan because she took the time to educate me about what has been happening with my teeth and the importance of wearing my mouth guard. You can tell she cares about her patients. Furthermore, when she replaced my crown, I had confidence in her technical skill. Her movement as she works is fluid and precise. This was not the first time I've had a crown removed. She was notably more gentle and precise than my previous experience. My previous crown never fit properly and was irritating in my mouth for years. She was careful to make sure my new crown corrected the old crown problems. I've had my new crown for a day and it fits great! She didn't have to alter is at all once in my mouth. In short, if you have dental anxiety, I highly recommend this practice.
