I found the service we've received excellent. I already had a previous survey carried out, which valued the property i'm looking at purchasing far lower than it was advertised. The estate agent basically told me to get another survey done, they were not happy with this lower valuation, hence why we engaged S&S. I found that their survey - whilst basically in line with what I already knew from the first survey, added a level of practical open market knowledge and comparison properties that made the valuation and impact of it more understandable for me.To be honest, after I got the first survey done, the estate agent we are dealing with made out that it was incorrect, they were wildly shocked at how lower the valuation was, and I was questioning if they had a point, basically due to the bombardment of disbelief the estate agent was chucking my way.S&S have provided me with the assurance and knowledge that actually, the first surveyor knew what he was doing. That they know what they are doing. That all of what they did was supported by not RICS standards but also publicly available information and they drew it altogether in such a way that provided a really well informed, comprehensive picture.Hugely appreciate the surveyor who did the report going through the most ridiculous, basic, questions I was chucking his way with such patience and understanding.
