These days I do a lot more research in pricing, reviews and history of any work needing to be done on our home. I did my research for hurricane shutters and picked DREAMGUARD. I get skeptical because I hate being hounded and called a million times for pressure sales. After contacting DREAMGUARD and meeting Percy in person I felt positive and completely safe going with them to do some hurricane shutter work. Percy, Carlos, and Barbaro arrived on time and set to work repairing our 20 year old accordion shutters. Wheels were replaced, tracks cleaned, locking pins and tracks lubricated. New thumb screws supplied. Now 80 year old me can open and close them easily. They also reattached some that were loosened at the wall attachment. All in all a superb job! Worth every penny!

Did you know your Hurricane Accordian Shutters need to be maintained yearly and WD40 is NOT the way to go? I learned my lesson after Milton.Sooo.I recently found myself in a stressful situation with one of my hurricane shutters stuck and in need of urgent repair. I could not open or close it, and one never knows when one storm will follow another. I was really worried that I would not be able to get my shutter repaired before other hurricanes threatened, especially since we are having such a busy season.The first company I called told me they did not repair shutters because they cannot get parts anymore. She said , “I do not thing anyone repairs accordions anymore.” That statement ratcheted up my stress. In retrospect, I am sure she was trying to sell me impact windows. But I do not want impact windows. I paid a lot for my accordions. They work great, and there is no need to replace them. The next company I reached out to could not come out until the following week and gave me a very high quote.I then reached out to Pacific Hurricane Shutters DreamGuard and I couldn’t be more impressed with their service. They responded THE SAME DAY, which was a huge relief.From the moment I called, Andressa, who answered the phone immediately, (most of the other companies had a machine that said they would get back to me), was polite and understanding of my stress and urgency. She booked me for the same day and clearly explained the cost of a service call. She sent the initial invoice quickly and followed up with the final invoice just as promptly when the job was complete. She later texted to make sure the job went well, which I think is a lovely touch and shows a company that really cares.When the team arrived, it was clear that this family-owned business values professionalism and customer satisfaction. I was very satisfied with this company. They came out on 1/5/26 for initial measurements for my garage door.. Sent me detailed invoice.. Accordion Installation scheduled for 1/8/26. Worker Yaniel was on time. Very Professional from beginning to end.Completed job in a timely manner.. Explained how to open and close shutters. Gave me the keys and assisted me with taking pictures..Sent me detailed Invoice via email once job completed. I would highly recommend this company.
