This review is based entirely on my personal experience as a paying client of NextEdge Impact and Ralph “Ted” Davis. When working with Ted, I often felt that information about the website and SEO performance was limited or selectively presented. Feedback we gave was typically dismissed or minimized, and concerns about results were met with explanations that didn’t match what our own data showed. Pricing also felt inconsistent during our time working with him, and despite being told the site was performing well, our numbers suggested otherwise. When asked to provide data to support his claims, none was shown to us directly. We paid $5,000 for what we believed would be a website we owned. Only afterward did we learn that we would not gain ownership without an additional $10,000 transfer fee. Had we known this upfront, our decision would have been different. We were also told that expressing dissatisfaction or writing a review could lead to legal action, which we found concerning and discouraging.Despite getting "close to $1500 worth of services for $997", the website did not perform as well for us as our previous one that cost us under $500/year. We were told the new site would pay for itself, but in our experience, it did not. We also attempted to delay the project due to family obligations and a heavy workload during peak season, but communication continued at a pace that made us feel pressured to proceed before we were ready — especially since we did not yet have stable access to our Google Business Profile. When issues surfaced regarding GBP access, we proposed a few workarounds on our end that could have allowed the site to launch smoothly. Those suggestions were declined, but the lack of GBP access was later used to explain lower performance. This was frustrating and left us feeling stuck between two problems we were actively trying to solve.Eventually, other contractors reached out sharing similar frustrations with their own experiences, and that was the point where we addressed our concerns directly with Ted. Instead of collaborative resolution, we received a lengthy response directing us to terminate service (with additional fees) or continue at the increased rate moving forward.I am sharing this review because I believe it’s important for other small business owners to have access to honest customer experiences. I hope ours helps someone else make a more informed decision.
