Quay to Success Dog Training
Kirsty is incredible! Our adopted pug, Soni, had a difficult start in life and as a result he was extremely excitable around new people, didn't travel well, and although very fun & lovely, was difficult to keep under control both in the house and out. We reached out to Quay to Success due to the brilliant reviews and that they specialised in apartment living. The introductory phone call was a great first step - Kirsty listened to our needs and asked all of the right questions - getting down some key points we needed to work through. So we booked the 6 month programme, with a regular slot in the week that worked for us.We did a mix of indoor and outdoor training, starting from the basics of sit, and getting to a down (sometimes getting to a settle), all the way up to off-lead work with recall outdoors. He looked forward to it every session - it was the best hour of his week.Kirsty was even so kind to include our other pug in the indoor training so she wasn’t left out of all of the fun!Soni is now a very confident dog - he recalls when you ask (even doing an emergency stop and down!), he walks close and pays attention without scavenging for bits and bobs on the floor, and most important - he knows how to calm himself down in exciting situations - which our family and friends very quickly noticed. This has changed all of our lives.I discovered the training was as much for the owner as the dog (ha). Outside of the hour, a Kirsty was on-hand through WhatsApp and a treasure trove of online content. We have the knowledge and skills to carry through his long life, so are extremely grateful to have found Kirsty and experienced her fantastic training. Soni will absolutely miss training with her.
