Quay to Success Dog Training
We had the most incredible experience with Kirsty and I highly recommend anyone who is looking for training sessions to enquire with her!We enquired about her training services due to our dog dealing with new reactivity and confidence issues post-spay. Our dog is a 2.5 year old large (guarding) breed and I was initially conscious on if Kirsty was comfortable and/or familiar with large breeds, however from the consultation call we had I was instantly at ease with her knowledge on our breed and couldn't wait to get going with training. We saw a change in our pup from the very first day, to the point that my partner and I were in shock by how quick we saw a difference. Our dog had grown particularly reactive to bikes to the point where, even if she spotted them in the far distance, she'd start to lunge and bark or get spooked and want to run/pull us in the opposite direction. Yet after the very first session there was a wildly dramatic change. From the second session our dog had become completely neutral to them!We throughly looked forward to our weekly training sessions as not only did our dog become excited when she realised we were about to go train with Kirsty, but my partner and I always left the session feeling more confident and excited by the growth we'd seen in our dog and the new things we'd learnt to implement in a way that fit us and our lifestyle.Kirsty's approach is fantastic; she's all about positive reinforcement training for training dogs, but also the biggest help was the educational tidbits she'd teach us to understand the context of what we were learning and why, what our dog was showing or telling us in different moments, and how to make it a fun experience for all.I cannot recommend Kirsty enough, and can fully see us signing up again in the future for another block of sessions 'just because' as it was a truly great experience, and I really valued all education shared with us as the owners to help us feel empowered and get back to enjoying time with our beloved 4-legged child
